    Default Reality bites

    Reality of Filipino politics

    1. Big promises but failure to deliver.
    2. Each biting each other with the interest of the common people left behind.
    3. Nepotism.
    4. Not representing the common good of the constituents, each having personal interests.

    Simple solution

    1. End nepotism.
    2. Focus on the people.
    3. Have well established goals - for the people.
    4. Stop personal rants.

    End result

    1. Each Filipino will be well represented by the honest candidate.
    2. True common welfare.
    3. Better health care and verifiable identification of each constituent.
    4. People pay taxes for seeing something good happening and in turn the government will be well compensated for its efforts.

    Programs to prioritize

    1. Efficient nationwide postal addressing system for efficient logistics and online business identification.
    2. Individual social security membership including the elderly >60yo, no more "special-voucher-from-a-politician for a hospital benefit."
    3. Proper taxation favoring the common worker and not those in the corporate.
    4. Bring back the honesty and integrity of Philippine Postal System, Philippine Bureau of Customs, and the Philippine Military.
    5. Fair salary to all workers for efficient economic stimulus.

    Points to consider

    1. There is and will be progress, very attainable and simple. Know your candidates, campaign, and don't be bought.
    2. The one sitting in the office right now is the one representing you, that's why we have ELECTIONS.
    3. We vote, we work, we pay taxes, the one in the office SERVE, we benefit through efficient governance, and everyone is happy.
    4. Reality bites but all those in the office are PUBLIC SERVANTS. We, the constituents pay them with our taxes - WE ARE THE BOSSES, and it is not the other way around.
    5. Too much politicking, too much pride, and not much is done.
    6. There is a Filipino culture of submissiveness to the constituents and delusion of power to those in the office. Let's reverse it this time - let it be
submissiveness to those in the office and power to the constituents.
    7. Treasure your vote, respect the outcome of the election, and know that you are represented either way, win or lose.

I am always skeptical with the politicians running our country. Only a few can be trusted.

    Default The wisest of all

A good friend once told me, "The wisest of the candidates is the one who votes for the political opponent. Winning means he/she has the majority and losing means he/she is in full support to the one in office deserving."

I guess this would be backed by peace of mind whatever the result is, wise indeed.

I wonder who would do the same.

I invite all politicians to read this e-book about The Philippines. This is an account of somebody visiting and had an "enlightening" experience with how we manage our "personal hygiene."

I did my rant to the author already.

To those in office we might have to think twice before collecting fees to those using our public restrooms, it might not be worth it. We might hire professionals maintaining it.

Here's the link of the e-book Available from Amazon.com.

Politician 1: Ew! That's so gross! We don't have that in our condo. Wet floor, no tissues. Yuck!

Politician 2: It's ok. That's the only thing we can afford - for the people. I won't have something like that in my mansion though.

Politician 3: It's their way of life, they got used to that already. Though I wouldn't want that in my mansion too.

Politician 4: Ew! kadiri talaga, I wont even dare looking at it.

God listening: The maggots in hell are waiting for you for a feast.

    Default This means war!

"Hu hu hu I'm in a restroom with wet floor and doesn't have a bathroom tissue, I'm all soiled and can't clean myself up. Saan na si Lord. How I wish I am in my condo."

Personal hygiene is a very sensitive and intimate topic especially among women. I wonder how Gabriela being the forefront of female activism would respond to this ebook:

PHILIPPINES CULTURE SHOCK IS UNBELIEVABLE: IT'S MORE THAN JUST DON'T DRINK THE WATER - Kindle edition by Paul Fussell. Politics & Social Sciences Kindle eBooks @ Amazon.com.

PNP: Sir Binay, bathroom tissue raw Sir to all public restrooms.

VP Binay: Ay pabaya-an nyo na, it is not a matter of National Security.

If I were in Malacanan, I would cover my face, turn around, head home, prep my rifle, unfold the Philippine Flag that I've kept for years and mount it outside my home upside down.

    THIS MEANS WAR!

    Philippine politics at its finest

    1. Public office is a public thrust.
    2. Impeachment awaits to those worthy of it.
    3. We are all honest politicians, seriously.
    4. I know you personally - during elections. Who are you again? - in the office.
    5. I'm a devout Christian and a politician, I keep my Rosary together with my millions in the bank vault.
    6. Philippine politics is wholesale and retail business at its best.
    7. Philippine politics is "bridging the gap." Literal translation "pantawid gutom." No long term planning.
    8. Grudge befalls the winning and losing candidate - no exceptions. Public employees - out with the old and in with the new. Progress indeed.
    9. Politician to family - 'This comes from hard earned money, now eat.' 'Thank you dad/mom, we will do the same to our kids.'
    10. Let's eat! And share it to the world!

UN to Philippines: Looks like we are not on schedule for another impeachment trial. By this time, we should have things going already. With the involvement of media, street protests, lifestyle checks etc. Is there something brewing?

Philippines: We're tired. We just want to make things work this time. For progress. We're deboning and incinerating all politicians until the last enamel of their tooth and sprinkling their ashes to our Noche Buena feast, ala "Hannibal Con Carne" style. It's yummy.

    UN: Mazel Tov!
