A single Gigabit LAN port will have many times the bandwidth the average user is going to need.

Typical usage for dual gigabit LAN would be fail over. (if one connection goes down, the other is there to keep the system online) There is also "teaming" where the two ports are configured to act as one giving higher bandwidth potential. (Supposedly)

You can also bridge the two ports to create an access point for another device. Handy when you need to piggyback another system for whatever reason.

kun mag link aggregation, need na sya'g switch na mo support sa ani na feature... ang mga enterprise class switch ang kasagaran mo support ani and not the consumer grade switches... naa siguro consumer grade na mo support ug link aggregation, wla lang ko maka kita... nangita ko ani sauna pero, puro ra enterprise class switches akoang na kit-an... so, i just aborted my plan...

since 10 pcs/workstation/user raman kaha ni i think pwede ra ni on basic computer system, make sure lang reliable na parts. naghisgot kang server 2008 and sql, naa na mo existing na network? or this will be standalone network sa office or something. as for standalone NAS storage, FreeNAS can be configured in many usage. try lang pud explore it.

Kaso will it be like a plug-in-play storage like if iconnect nimo siya via lan or usb ba kaha sa Windows PC makita na dayon siya sa network?

Mga bro, unsa nga software inyong ika recommend for secure log-in?

Pinas man kaha ang location nimo ani? daghan kaayo maka share ug ideas. dili man kaayo ni dako'g gasto ang FreeNAS server (on CPU). on the memory kun daghan kaayo ang mag access in a given time then ang files nila kay in "TB", you need to have a 16 ~ 32 GB system mem... kun dili gani, an 8 ~ 16 GB system mem (for 64 Bit FreeNAS OS) will do the job ra gyud. ug ang HDD configuration nimo. a basic mobo will do. kun ang switch nimo, mo support ug "Link Aggregation" (LAG), aw, better mag dual Gigabit NIC (preferred is an intel based NIC) ka para increased and speed... if not, a single Intel Gigabit NIC will do... nice ang support man lagi aning FreeNAS OS on intel based gigait NIC...

kun Windows or Linux server ka, lain ni sila'g requirement...
