Xperia Z2 or Samsung Galaxy K Zoom

I own an Xperia Arc S for almost 3 years and now I'm planning to change phone..I'm torn between Samsung Galaxy K Zoom and Xperia Z2...

I love photography so I prefer a better mobile phone with an amazing camcorder and still shots and with a higher RAM..

I own the Z2, and there's nothing of it I can complain about! I called a Samsung friend (na taga-marketing, I'm sure he knows the competition very well) about a possible suitable replacement (as I was planning to sell the Z2), and my specifications were simple:
1. Must take good pictures (competitive against Z2's 20.7MP)
2. Long battery life
3. Competitive RAM and CPU

And without skipping a beat, he suggested the Galaxy K Zoom. "A camera with a phone, not a phone with a camera".

Pero medyo sakit ang presyo so I looked it up, I found issues like dust coming in over time (the lens mechanism isn't airtight). So murag nakahuna-huna ko, bitaw noh maybe I don't need that much complexity. I sometimes whip my phone out and boot the camera to take a pic of a moving subject, e.g. car or motorcycle. I started to doubt basin mas delayed ang Galaxy K Zoom.

Pero kani akong input, medyo immature ni. Karon buntag ra ko nakasugod search about Galaxy K Zoom hehehe.
I started a thread a few months ago about which smartphone has the best camera, daghan ni-suggest ug Lumia.
Have you considered Lumia?

My Z2 is also for sale, 20k (with box, charger, bluetooth headset, receipt).

Also, FYI basin concern pud nimo ang water resistance and/or size, consider the Z1C (Sony Z1 Compact). Had I realized na hasolan ko ug dako' na screen, didto unta' ko sa Z1C. Halos pareho lang ang specs, although inferior gyud gamay ang Z1C, pero I'm sure it serves its purpose. 10k man pud ang diperensya sa price so worth it kaayo.

Basta para nako', I spent too much in one phone. 32k ako palit, although it comes with a whole bunch of features pero simple ra ako kinahanlan hehe. Ikaw TS I suggest you re-evaluate if you really need the extra stuff that the Z2 comes with

I can't say something right now about Galaxy K Zoom coz wala kaayu ko knowledge ana.

I own Z2. So far I have no problems as far as systems are going. speaking of camera phones, super nindot jud kaau. Smooth pod kaau ang Z2. No hassles so far.

As for Samsung, di kaau ko mo suggest og non-flagship phones. kay in about a year or more, mo-kagar ang UI sa samsung, basta dili flagship imo phone.

@ryan awww! ganun ba "mas delayed ang Galaxy K Zoom" ah yes, nag research din ako about lumia specifically Lumia 1020...and it really takes pretty decent photos..pero parang malaki..
ngano man nga ibalig-dya mo kanang imong xperia z2?

@ryan awww! ganun ba "mas delayed ang Galaxy K Zoom" ah yes, nag research din ako about lumia specifically Lumia 1020...and it really takes pretty decent photos..pero parang malaki..

I'm not sure if indeed delayed ba ang Galaxy K Zoom, it's just my ignorant remark, basing on the fact na it mechanically boots the lens when you turn the camera on. I sold the Xperia Z2 because it's too big to operate firmly with one hand; now I'm using the Z1 Compact, I love it and the camera is the same (technically). It just needs rooting for maximum use of its power

ah yes! my brother in law is currently using an xperia z1 compact too..so far satisfied namn cya...and now, im disregarding k zoom because it has the same camera setting with the other samsung phones..dapat iba ung settings kasi it's actually built as a "camera" phone..I've seen different reviews on youtube...and now Im targeting xperia z3 compact..as the price rapidly go down..specially on grey markets

Indeed z3 compact ftw, hands down. Nice choice. Still using my good old Xperia Z.

The significant differences between the Z3 Compact and Z1 Compact are:

1. Display: Pixel density
2. Camera features: 4K Resolution
3. Battery performance (not capacity)
4. Extra sensors: Barometer, Step detector, Step counter

- Pixel density, Z1C wins at 342ppi (compared to Z3C's 319ppi)
- 4K Resolution, Z3C has it pre-installed, while Z1C cannot install it unless rooted
- Battery lasts just a bit longer, with 300 more mAh
- Extra sensors may matter, or not, depending on users needs

If you don't mind the extra grands, or you want to be in on the latest, buy the Z3 Compact; otherwise, ari na lang sa Z1 Compact kay essentially pareha ra sila sa specs. Pareha pa gyud ug RAM, maypa Z2 kay 3GB pa.

I'm a beginner in smartphones pero I think Sony didn't live up to the expectations of many with the Z3 Compact. Gamay ra kaayo ug diperensya especially sa Z2 [vs Z3]. Para nako' dili worthy ang Z3 or Z3 Compact with its new price (is it 34-36k? No?)
