Bitaw, maypa Lexmark nalang.
@undercover_lover: with regards to the bond, di na question sa quality. Sa experience na. If people who have 8yrs+ of experience say nga dead-end job ang Accenture, I would listen to them kai sweto gyud ni sila. What's so impressive about being in Manila? The resf of the country is practically running it! Mga taga south mas mo prefer pa gani ug Cebu maskin gamay pa sweldo. Case in point, ang tali para Manila training DILI WORTH IT.
Here's an update for all of you. Software architects and management positions earn a higher basic pay - around 50-100k. Technical, however, medyo lisud gyud makakuha ug dako. I have had 5 colleagues now who turned down an offer at Accenture. One colleauge (senior level) currently earns 60k in my company. When I asked him pila ang gihatag sa Accenture pag job offer, he simply said, "AYAW NALANG PANGUTANA. MAGKATAWA RA KA." I have know two more, however, who were offered higher by Accenture from my company but then again 15yrs+ man sad to nya ang usa kai manager man.
Mga bai, if ako ra usa nag reklamo ok ra unta. But the notoriety of this company is overwhelming. Let the statistics speak for itself. Fresh hire material only.
Nihit mangita ug high paying clients i-assign sa Accenture. Most of the time pakapin ra ka.
bro basin lahi lang ta ug pagsabot sa anang bond. first you are not bonded by the company because they gave you the oppurtunity to travel, you are bonded because of the training that they will be providing you. Even some production type companies who have an IT department sends their employees to manila for such training... take for example an IT-staff is sent to take a training at Oracle University... bro gamay ra kaayo nang plete sa eroplano pero kahibalo ba ka pilay presyo sa 2 weeks nga course sa Oracle? Originally Posted by tokidoki
there is nothing impressive about Manila nagkataon lang cguro nga mas better ang facility sa Accenture didto kaysa dri kay bag.o paman sila dri, sa ako na gikaingon as long as nindot ang training it doesn't matter what place you will be sent to. ang importante ana ang training dili ang lugar. hinuon bacn wla nasad nag abot atong thinking dri kay as what you have said 6 years experience nka... maybe you are experienced enough that you don't need that training anymore, but for those nga bag.o pa sa field they need exposure and that training would really help...
last thing... dili tanan 8 years+ experienced people maayo ug sweto ug katuohan... i've seen some nga giligsan lang ug fresh grad sa usa ka supervisory nga position... it's about the skills bro. kng motuo ka sa ilaha aw naa ra na nmo... but for me mas motuo kos akong kaugalingon.
magkatawa man sad ko ani nga statement bro, nganu gud intawn nga ubos ila panan.aw nato? ni branch out gani sila dri kay tan.aw nila strategic ang ato place for expansion plus the fact nga murag mushroom nga nanglugwa ang mga IT companies dri... of course aware na sila nga daghan skillful dri... kng para nmo tungod sa ila offer ubos na kaayo ilang tan.aw sa ato... aw naa rasad na nimo but as what elle_beck had said... don't take it against the company...Originally Posted by tokidoki
Manila, NO BOND.
Sun Microsystems. 6 mos ra ang BOND. DILI 2 YEARS!
Again, NO BOND. Di pa gyud tungod sa training ang BOND, it was because the travel expenses exceeded the budget. The training was complementary by Sun.
Dili na question sa lugi bai. You're being BONDED because your training exceeded a certain expense limit THAT's the real deal. Like naka abot imo worth ug more than xxxk that's when they start to kick in the bond. But with so-called big time companies like Accenture nga matarog na ug 80k nga training it really makes you start to question if naa ba gyud ni sila kwarta.
Period! You're like comparing someone who just read a book and someone who never bothered because he's so busy DOING THE REAL THING. Two words: First impressions? I should know coz I deal with 2 of them in my team. Maayo tuod pero mao lagi. Bata pa hambugero pa. One is plain tactless and disrespectful and the other gave me more problems when in the first place we tasked him to relieve it. Nice attitude for someone who is APPARENTLY BETTER noh? We don't have that kind of attitude from our 30+ colleagues. Moreover, you don't see that attitude in supervisors and managers. Mura man ka'g nangdaut sa imong bossing, pre!
Keep belieiving in yourself bai! Fortunately (and luckily) for the rest of us, we don't live in your world. (Thank, God!)Kindly tell us the secret of being experienced by believing than just doing.
Let's set aside our hypcrisy. Kinsa man di ganahan magpahimus anang "dako" nga company para makalarga kuno? I made no secret about that fact. You mean to say your intentions are noble? LOL As I've stated in another reply, "Puslan naman lisud-lisuron ko nila, mag demanda ko ug dako. I will not allow a situation to be a win-lose situation for a company. They win, we lose! Naa ra na ninyo if palupig mo. Basta as an employee I know we're running the company, not the higher ups.
If we don't take it out on the company who man beh? You mean to say we Cebuanos just shut up? FYI bai these companies branch out here because they THINK MA-ILAD ta that they think nga bigshot kaayo sila sa Manila. Why do you think they didn't budge pag-ingon nako gamay ra ila offer? Mas dako pa ug offer ang current company sa ila nya they have the nerve to tell me mao ra na akong worth? They thought siguro I'm bluffing. LOL
FYI for everyone. This company is at the bottom of the food chain in Manila gyud. The reason why they are here is because nahurot na ilog ang maayo sa Manila. Companies like Equicomm, Headstrong and others (the REAL TOP COMPANIES in Manila) have already taken the competitive advantage over them. That is THE ONLY reason why there are here in Cebu and not because of the market and the cheaper cost of labor.

tinuod baya ni bro nga nilookdown ang mga companies from Manila to cebuano talents...take for example sa call centers ha..most of them have a "regionalized" compensation like sa manila agent would receive a 18k, den dire cebu 12k....tungod daw na sa living conditions didto nga mas mahal ra...saonz mura man ni insulto sa atoang mga bisaya sa atong talents....
borgy1981: Sakto na bai. I don't mind being paid that much but dapat updated sila sa living conditions sab. 12k is NO LONGER acceptable in Cebu, except if fresh grad ka. Nag assume siguro sila nga nagpuyo ta ato ginikanan. What if wala? If nag work ka sa USA or some other country apil nana sa imo sweldo ang abang para tarong nga apartment. Dili kai nagtuo sila you live with your parents. In fact, in some cultures, living with parents is frowned upon. Meaning ana loser na gyud kaayo ta.
Sa case sa Accenture, a colleague of mine who has a cousin working there said the company is paying Cebuanos the same as from manila daw. Ako gud reaction ato "WHAT DA!!!!" Manila nya Cebu rate?! How do these people survive there?!
I know I have repeated this advice to other threads relating to jobs but I will say it again here. One guy once brought up the comment "kai mag sige daw starbucks ang mga agent sa call center." You work to support yourself and be able to live comfortably (reasonably). i.e. Work to get a life. You don't work so you can afford to work. Mahulog ra na the company is paying you so you'll be able to afford the fare and the meals while reporting to work. There goes your social life! hehehe...
sakto jud ka sa point nimo bro...I once applied and asked for the compensation and when the recruitment specialist uttered the term "regionalized"...Originally Posted by tokidoki

I'm religiously improving my skiilset so that I can find a better job w/ better compensation to feed my needs...and also a chance for me to improve my living condition...
Bai let's wait for the REAL big shots from manila to come to Cebu. Someone who will come here because of the talent and not because they are desperate because all the talent in Manila was sucked dry by the good ones.
I have my sights on Headstrong and Equicomm. The real big shots in Manila! The former already called me twice.A former colleague of mine was paid 80k in Manila. He was eventually absorbed by their client who was based in UK. Hay, kalami sa iya life!
