A bill providing for the inclusion of Moro History, Culture and Identity Studies as an elective subject in colleges and universities is closer to becoming a law after hurdling the House of Representatives.
House Bill 4832, otherwise known as the proposed Moro History, Culture and Identity Studies Act, was passed on third and final reading last week.
The measure seeks to mandate that all tertiary educational institutions to offer Moro History, Culture and Identity Studies as an elective subject, with emphasis on the positive relations among the tri-peoples, especially between Muslims and Christians, including shared origins and other points of commonality even before the arrival of Islam and Christianity.

Sorry, but I can not help but be reminded of my 'history' teacher in the University of San Carlos.
He preached that Islam was the true religion and that the Abu Sayaff are just doing what Catholics once did to them, which is 'cutting their heads off'.
He also preached to our class, that we should just convert to Islam, because the muslims are more intellectual and that they read the Quran and pray 5 times a day.
Also, anti-SVD kaayo to siya nga teacher... how in the hell did he get a job in a dominantly-Catholic school.
Hay naku... I feel sorry for our future generation if they convert to an extremist religion. Mind you, this is how ISIS managed to get a lot of supporters, through teaching 'history' and 'preaching' the 'true faith'.
