^ kumbate gihapon nang CPU ug HW nimo ron bro oi... basta naka DDR3, snappy man sya compared sa naka DDR2 lang... basta pwede pa magamit nato ang rig, there is no point in spending for an upgrade. gawas ganahan gyud mo gasto para ang HW, current technology... but again, to each on his own man ta aning upgrade kay kanya2x man ta'g gasto... lisod baya'g pangita'g money... gawas kun mag ATM or ATP pa ta... hehehe... no sweat ra ang kwarta sa ani na stage sa atoang life pero, grabeh ang paningkamot ug saving sa atoang parents para lang maha hatag sa atoang gusto na paliton... naa man hinoon exemptions ani... katong mga anak ug adunahan... hehehe... wla ko'y gi igo diri ha... nag mention lang ko'g fact... ako... im proud to say that im an... "ASPO"... weeee... bwehehehehe...

karon diay, ang pinaka hinay na rig na gigamit pa nko ug sa akoang family kay ang Celeron 450... but, CPU man sya sa FreeNAS server ni kumander, pyts ra... naa nko diri ang PD 925 CPU na gigamit pud sa ani naFreeNAS server before the Celeron 450. then nag function pa pud ang akoang MoDT (mobile on desktop) na gihatag nko sa akoang nephew when he was 3 yrs old... Pentium M 780 (Dothan) 2.26 MHz to sya... OS kay Win XP... nag dagan pa karon pero, dili tagdon sa bata kay hinay kuno... paets... i-convert to nko'g FreeNAS server napud... naa ko diri, extra na Pentium M 1.3 MHz (Banias) CPU... for keeps ni para sa akoang personal CPU collection...

or, mao ni ang naa sa sulod sa akoang mind for that MoDT rig... akoang pabarogon sya... palitan ug nice na m-ATX chassis para gamiton ug gaming rig... then taoran ug 6600GT 4x AGP (naa man ko diri) and the Ageia PPU for PhysX (naa pud nko diri)... duwa dayon ug UT3... Nostalgia effect... hehehe...

Pentium M 1.3 MHz (Banias) w/ 1 MB L2 cache, Pentium D 925 3.0 MHz w/ 4 MB L2 cache and Pentium Pro 200MHZ w/ 256 Kb L2 cache... ang akoang gipakita diri kay ang size sa Pentium Pro... visual comparison para maka kita pud ang uban na wla maka kita aning Pentium Pro... ug kaning Pentium M... ang Pentium D, wala ni sya challenge kay mura2x ra man ni'g size sa LGA 1156/55/50 CPUs...

ironic that my first and current pc (i5 2500k) are the only intel units ive owned... the rest have been AMD

tigs... pareho ta... bwahahahaha... naka gamit ka'g VESA LB na video card? naa pa ko's balay... Cirrus Logic 1 MB. pag gawas ato sa Cebu, palit dayon ko's Gillamac's Mandaue... price nya kay between 4 or 6 K php... mahal kaayo to during that time... akoang gi taod sa akoang 486DX2 100 MHz... lipaya nko ato na time... pero, in less than 2 months or a month, ning gawas bitaw nang mga PCI video card then naa'y price at 2K php lang... sakita's dughan nko lagi... bwahhahahaha... both video cards (mao ni tawag nila during their time... dili pa GPU)... ang VESA LB ug my first PCI (Trident), naa pa's balay sa mandaue. ang PCI, functional pa... gamit nko pang trouble shoot. ang VESA LB, for sure, functional pa to. dili lang ma test kay VESA LB slot is loooonnnggg... ggggooonnneeee... bisan pa pag release nya... kadiyot ra kaayo...

dako-a na gasto nko aing passion nato since pag sugod oi... maka patukod naman ni'g balay... hahaha...

about sa EISA, nice to kay bus mastering... dili tanan mobo, naa'y EISA slot... those were the days... hehehe... ang pinaka dugay na slot na buhi pa hangtod karon kay ang PCI gyud... wala'y maka bang2x nya... bisan ang mga PCIe 1x ug 4x (pangita-n na ni na slot), dili maka patay sa PCI slot.. but only for now... in near future, thing of the past na ning PCI slot kay ang mga add-in cards ron, PCIe form factor naman...

sa akoa, ang pinaka hinay nko na PC on Windows 95 kay ang 386SX-20 MHz... sige lang appear ang hr glass... its paets... its not the fault of the 386SX though since it was designed to run Win 3.1 & 3.11 for Workgroups... sauna man lagi, mura man ug mag pair ang OS ug ang HW... inig release sa New OS, usually, change HW man pud ta...

about sa Creative Sound Card, nice kaayo tong mga kits nila... naa gani ko atong kit na ang CD drive nila, naa'y caddy. mura'g sa Mac... sikata aning Creative Labs gyud sauna...
