HELP: brontoc virus( how to get rid of it)

by the way.. brontok is not a virus.. it is a worm...


dili ka ka run ug .exe ana bai.. kay iya i restart ang computer once makit-an niya nga nag .exe ka..

dili sd ka kaopen ug regedit... iya na idisable...

ang akong gigamit pang detect sa NOD32..

pag clean nako.. akong gamit is SOPHOS... payter kaau..

then para i make sure nga wala njd.. BitDefender...


now my PC is .. Brontok-Free..

ahak pud anang reformat oi...kakapoy ra ba intawn restore sa current settings nimo especially if advanced user ka.....

mga bro, flash drive nu gamit pagdownload/install sa brontoc remover? o the regular Floppy? o CD?

I have a somewhat rare stand-alone brontok killer software. It is called bw.exe (brontok washer).

I tried using antivirus before and the worm is smart enough to kill the scanning process or shut down immediately. It disables just about anything that you can think of to remove it (regedit is disabled, folder options disabled, auto shutdown on keywords on textfields, etc.)

I immediately ran bw.exe and Brontok didn't react to it. And it worked!

I tried going to the original source of bw but it seems it got run down.

this virus is indeed smart bay...kay try nimo ug access regedit, msconfig d ka pasudlon....heheheh.....wala ka nitry sa symantec solution?

if naa na sa late stages ang damage nga nabuhat sa brontok... once you run bw.exe... mo restart imo computer.. meaning dili ka pa fixon...


i have tried using it.. eventually it did not help me.. lucky i got sophos..

i suggest before you go about removing the Brontok nga worm is you should disable system restore kay brayt ayo ang brontok it can do a self-restore gamit ang system restore. Install nod 32 nga antivirus, then boot windows to safe mode and run nod 32 antivirus. 100% tipok ang brontok....

sakto.. pero if mogamit ka SOPHOS.. apil sa instruction nga i turn off ang SYSTEM RESTORE before restarting the computer...

ang short cut sa tanan:

download RRT.exe
download ComboFix.exe

run RRT.exe, check all boxes

wen done restart.

Run COmbofix.exe....let it run

have a coffee...etc
