Although I consider myself a good Catholic, the one teaching of the church I don't agree with is that on birth control by a married couple.
I do not follow the reasoning on "natural" birth control, or using the rhythm method. To me, that is even more abhorrent and more unnatural than using a condom or taking the pill because it reminds me of insects or animals that mate on a seasonal basis. Among humans, the urge to have *** is spontaneous, and can happen anytime so the rhythm method makes me feel like a lowly creature.
*** is also one way a married couple can express their love for each other. So having to express it only when the wife is "not" fertile? THAT's really unnatural!
It's way past time the Church open up on birth control. I will never promote or consent to abortion, but the Church should really consider its stand on birth control.
