    bayanihan is already canceled couple years ago with aquino decided to cancel IT depts... ive already talked to the head of DOST-R&D regarding forking the project and they're ok with it transfering the development into community based... medjo slow lang ang progress kini nga project since heavily dependent ko sa update sa debian upstream, so currently im experimenting other options like archlinux... still there is certain package that i really wanted to use nga wala pa sa debian testing/sid... target nako that i could released a alpha release later later this year or early next year... the basic system usa with default suites...

    beside bayanihan we also have kahelOS -> KahelOS , based on archlinux but its a rolling release... what i want for bayanihan is to follow similar to ubuntu release cycle... but focus more on offline installation instead of online... more like mac type of installation

    rolling release for me is a hit or miss, it may work or it may break... not really good for casual user...

    updated link -> https://github.com/BayanihanOS

    ive forked several project to be integrated on the OS... good thing most of it can still be used on arch...

    Bayanihan OS is currently on hold waiting pako ma release ang Debian 8 still... basicly its running Gnome i just hope ma include ang Gnome 3.14 or 3.13 sa repo debian... however 81% pa ang availability... and no update so far...

    to start... Gnome Desktop is build on top GJS (Gnome javascript, if you are familiar with Mozilla XUL and mozilla JS then its the same technology) and it also uses CSS for GUI...

    hence dali ra makat-onan pag customize sa looks niya... its just a matter of knowing t css class...

    however to have a unique native application for the OS it requires custom application... lately ive been toying around using HTML5 + XUL... a good example sa similar sa ako gibuhat is Firefox and thunderbird...
