tsktsk yes...but let me explain sa sinugdanan... If you remember Metro Cebu Development Council(if I am correct with the name), which was headed by Mayor Tommy... We all know that ang tubig sa baha sa Mandaue majority nagikan sa CEbu City. Obviously makita kaayo na nimo from the bridge. If you remember, grabe ang baha sauna sa may MCWD duol sa San Carlos, as in grabe. Karon wala nay baha didtong dapita kay nasulbad tungod sa gisugdan nga proyekto sa maong council... Asa nibalhin ang problema? Of course sa Mandaue. Kadtong mao nga project wala mahuman sa hinungdan nga nausab ang pangulo sa maong council, so nausab ang direksyon or priorities, naputol ang plano. So ang tubig karon ni-ungot sa Mandaue. Kining problemaha, dili masulbad kung Mandaue lang ang molihok og susama lang kini sa problema nato sa traffic nga 80% sa mga sakyanan, igo lang mu-agi sa Mandaue.

Ang Mayor sa Mandaue City natagam sa nasinati nga mga kausaban sa pagdumala sa council. Matod pa niya, nga ang maayong magdumala sa maong grupo kanang dili pulitiko. Sama sa mga non-government organizations, any representative from different sector aside from government(like chamber of commerce). Ang atong tuyo nga mapadayon ang mga nindot nga plano para sa kinatibuk-an.

i thought the plan was to DECONGEST traffic...

@kit_cebu ... hehe... it may seem a problem as of now, but if you notice, there is a road widening on the whole stretch of AC Cortes... DPWH may have prioritized the building of the island in the center but mayor is now pushing DPWH to remove the old islands on the sides. Previously, withouth island, there were only 4 lanes. But after it will be completed, it will have 6 lanes with the island. And again, its a DPWH project. Yes, Mandaue Urban Planners have idea in the totallity of the project, but in the course of implementation, it is all with DPWH.

i don't see any problem with converting a 4 lane road to a 6 lane road and an island with plants in it. its the whole plan initiated by DPWH in coordination with the city.

I think you're refering to DPWH...all Mandaue City can do is follow-up the status of implementation. They also have targets to meet.
