There are maps every where in the airport, get one. So you will understand where you are going. Dali ra ang transportation sa HK, naay train ug bus, but train is easier, the train is equipped with voice prompt like MRT and LRT, it is callled MTR in HK.
My advice is to go Avenue of the Stars in the afternoon almost close to 6pm so you will experience both day and night scenery in their famous Victoria Harbour-- you will get picturesque backdrop of both day and night. Symphony of lights show will start at 8pm, about 20 mins show.
Next, take a dinner at Yoshinoya-- its a Japanese fast food though; I will not advise you to eat authentic chinese dishes, you may not like it. I was in HK for 10 months and not pleased with authentic chinese food. Luod kau ilaha food-- Yoshinoya is just a 10-minute-walk from the Avenue of the Stars; where you can take several side trips of numerous boutiques and shops going to your dinner via Nathan Road and make a left turn to Cameroon Road. You can use google map para dali. Hehe

Use a free wifi though, data roaming is quite expensive for postpaid plans. So better turn that off if nag post paid ka.
Then after dinner, you can go to Mongkok street or Ladies Market.

Look for the nearest MTR station, which is the Tsim Sha Tsui, and buy tickets going to Mongkok station just 3 stations away. Take Exit E2 at Mong Kok Subway Station, and walk across two crossings. And voila, a 1 km of Chinese shops! Enjoy!
After your Macau day trip, you still have time to go to Repulse Bay and Victoria Peak via Peak Tram.
