i thought it was a close fight.. maidana's activity and some quality punches weren't given much credits... heck, i thought floyd was looking for a short night when he complained that his fingers were bitten by maidana with the gloves and mouthpiece on.. disqualification? lolz..

besides, after the fight, maidana looked fresh while floyd looks badly beaten..hahahaha!!!

there are times where excessive clenching were used by floyd as well as excessive running but the referee just let it for the reasons i don't know... (",)

I still have to see a boxer who has never clinched an opponent in his career. And for the record, I am no Floyd fan. But I must admit in the last fight versus Maidana, I was impressed by how much he avoided punishment even when Maidana had him cornered or on the ropes, Maidana never connected any solid combinations in that fight.
people try to justify it by saying it is not illegal, it is a tactic used by the "clinch"kos brothers and mayweather to get the referee to separate them and stop an inside close range attack. should clinches be allowed? of course! should it be used the same way mayweather uses it? NO. what constitutes as excessive clinching? watch mayweather and klitschko bouts.

Thing is dili kaayo klaro sa rulebook kung unsa gyud ang definition sa excessive clinching. Mao nang it is also left to the subjective judgment of the referees. But c'mon, Maidana didn't do sh*t in that last fight, he was dominated fair and square. I watched it and I think he only won 1 round. He did get Floyd on the ropes and on the corner sometimes but even in those instances wala gyud siyay naconnect nga solid. Either Floyd had superb defense or wa lang gyud po'y ayo mangitag angle si Maidana

I dont know about you but after 6 rounds I knew Floyd would win that fight. Maidana did nothing to hurt Floyd at all. Although Maidana did corner Floyd and appeared busy at times, I did not see solid connections from him except maybe for just 1 of the earlier rounds.

yup, that's what i also initially saw watching the fight on livestream without any seriousness because i thought floyd would win handily this time.. however, watching the replay with russian(not sure) commentators suggests otherwise.. i don't doubt who won that fight but a lot of people were saying it was almost a shutout.. like floyd at the very least lost 2 rounds only.. what? hahaha... so that explains why floyd's face was busted.. scoring professional fights is not by numbers but quality of punches..

His face don't look busted to me during the interview. It was an easy fight to score actually, Maidana had nothing to offer. He fought a way lot better in the first fight, kadto hinuon medyo close to call, but the second fight nothing solid for Maidana. Watch it again, look at the times nga macorner ni Maidana si Floyd dayon assess whether he really did some damage, you will see nga most of Maidana's shots were blocked.

but mayweather didn't really do anything significant either but yeah, it can be subjective which do you prefer, the aggressiveness and activity or the runner.. again, it was a clear win for mayweather but i just don't think it was close to a shutout.. the face, well, maidana still looking better which says a lot about the quality of punches landed.. at least on their faces..

But then again, even the tv analysts were in agreement. Mayweather is the champ, it was Maidana who had to prove himself but he did not

Dili worth it ang pay-per-view oi..

nobody is arguing about maidana winning. maidana lost that fight without a doubt. when boxers clinch fighters who wants to fight inside to get the referee to restart the action then that is stupid. when you clinch because you got wobbled by a punch that is instinct and is understandable.
