I think it is possible for you to learn a musical instrument cause it seems you sound so dedicated to what you really want. I don't wanna sound so expert in the field of music but referring to voice lessons, I guess kanang learn the basics lang and explore on your own or kanang unsa na imong na andan nga style. Singers are either technically good which is acquired talent nila due to kanang singing lessons/workshop or kanang naturally talented and gift ni God para nila. So sa singing just mind the basic technicalities, explore, listen to music, sing, sing and sing! Or I mean depende ra pod na sa imong music teacher how he/she can help you to what you want.

No... But the question is, do you have time, enthusiasm and dedication to learn? or are you just learning to please people around you and to acknowledge you? My parents didn't support me but since I love music I did learn it as possibly as I can... (huwam instruments or save to buy instruments) I played instruments because I love it not because I wanna impress people. Music was my pass time, my medicine and I didn't even noticed it kept me away from drugs and trouble. There's no frustrated musicians it is just between a MUSIC LOVER and a MUSIC LOVER WANNA BE. I just don't get why in the age of 25 you decided to be a musician.. I started since 2nd yr highschool... it's a little late but not too late for you.

2) do you know a school or maybe an individual who can teach me really well but the rate is not that high?

there are a lot of members here in istorya that can teach you but if you wanna be in some school with a professional teacher.. you can check at mandaue ( I don't know the street) in front of lembros bike shop above the barber shop..

hi guys... it's been a while since i last visited here since i got really very pre-occupied sa mga projects at hand. then i thought of opening my account again and see what the people here have to comment kay i saw my guitar and i just stared at it for quite too long that i remembered this thread.

sorry if i offended some of you if i call myself OLD with my age. i turned 26 last august by the way so samot na i feel old. maybe i see it that way because 1) most people who do all these lessons are younger ones (some even start at 3!); and 2) i really do feel old. i feel like i need more time because when i reach 30 - pak! lahi na. anyway... that's just me.

sa katong ganahan mukuyog nako mag lessons, next year na siguro ko magsugod. unahon sa nakog human akong masters degree. kung makagraduate puhon, i will go for the things i love.

@cybeercrime not to brag pero ana akong amiga nako, ngano daw mag voice lessons pa ko? i don't sing good, actually. i can sing. period. but it's nowhere near good. gosh i can't belt higher notes... mas nindot pag tingog si Sam Smith nako or Ed Sheeran. i suck at falsettos. pero what i've learned from watching too much The Voice (US ha... di PH!) is that everybody has a unique tone in their voice. if familiar mo sa show and if you watched since Season 1, there's a contestant named Xenia and her voice was even lower than mine... but she sings good! siguro ang ako lang is ganahan ko makadetermine og pitch. and kanang sing through notes. ako usually makat-on ra kog tuno sa kanta sa sigeg paminaw. pero if ingnon ko na to sing it half-step higher or lower, di na ko magkadimao jud. hahaha

@AntitaniC there's no point in learning music if you do it to please people, right? so i don't want to do this for that. heck they don't even care for this so might as well feed my inner demons with music. and if you don't get it why in the age of 25 pa ko nitry? actually nope... i don't know if i said it in the beginning but i first played the guitar when i was 11. Leaving on a Jetplane. that's the first song I learned then Pearl Jam's song... i forgot the title. but eventually i grew apart from that guitar-playing girl because: 1) my parents can't afford lessons for me, 2) i have more important things to attend to... school, then career, and 3) i just thought i might as well quit it because i just can't find time for it. i have dedication to learn... enthusiasm? yes. more so, i have passion to learn. but TIME is actually not my friend. everyday i wish that there's more than 24 hours in a day... that there's more than 8 hours of work. because there's just too much to do. i am a busy person, yes. so if you ask how else am i going to learn? then that's why i started this thread. i actually don't know how you came up with the idea that doing this is just me trying to impress people. please. i'm not that shallow.

It's not about the age. It's about how determine you are to learn. Bata paman pud nang 20's nga age gud.. besides.. magkat-on man gani nang mga 30's ug 40's nga age.. It mean's age doesn't matter gihapon in terms of learning new things.. on your side. not new kay dugay naman ka ganahan mag kat-on.. but ill say, go for it TS.. if you have the determination to learn.. for sure makat-on rajud ka. Puso lang.. tiwala lang pud.. ayaw kawagtangan ug pag asa..

my hopes are not actually that high. i'm not aiming to be a popstar or recording artist anyway. i desperately want to learn piano because i think mas maka-write ko og akong own song using the piano. usahay ang guitar it will limit me in some ways that i can't describe.
