It's not changing a person but giving him options is a better way to put it.

You love the person of what he is when you first started out and changing
him into a whole different person simply defeats the reason why you fell
head over heels with him. Give suggestions lang when you want to tweak
his sense of style rather dictating him what you want lols

From personal experience, my ex used to ask for my opinions in terms of
fashion and grooming since he doesn't know a thing or two so I accompanied
him to the mall and helped him shop for clothes and to a barbershop. I gave
him choices on clothes and let him pick what kind of look he feels comfy in.
He ended up looking even more handsome in his new look --- samot na campus

from what i can understand, girls do this since they'd be able to tell how much the guy values or gives time to her. although comparing is not good pero mao man jud na kasagaran ma-huna2-an dayon.

no. for me, unless the guy gives clear intentions on what he really feels, then lisud mg-assume.
