WHATS WRONG WITH MY PC- upgrading the rig and its downside

anyway, regarding ani.. sa alam ko eh hindi makakasira ang video card nang ram kahit 8x yan at iniglagay sya sa 4x supported board. wala pong problema sa ganyan kasi independent naman yang video card. kaya lang ang 8x video card mo ay tatakbo as 4x..im sure hindi yan makakasira sa ram mo ...juzt for clarification ddr400 parin ba ang nilagay? kung ganun baka magkaproblema yan sa susunod..

yes im still using pc400 and so far, ok naman yung performance so far. but the tech guys from 3 computer shop i approached all said that the main reason why my computer crashes is bec of the video card that i have. my p4vmm2 cant handle that speed so thats why it corrupted my RAM. is that really true... im about to return my video card and replace it with another hardware - HDD ....

tama si countme_in18, ganyan din setup ko noong una. P4s-533MX board w/4X agp speed. ginamitan ko ng ati radeo9800pro, 4X nga lang ang speed. tapos, halo-halong ram. DDR333 and DDR400, ok naman. no problem na lumabas. hindi nga lang lumabas ang original performance pero no complications regarding parts.

I see well im just gonna replace my video card with HDD and then let me see if my computer wont crash using a PC400 RAM even though 266 mem bus lang kaya ng mobo ko... thanks countme_in18 and vladmire

ganun ba talaga idea nila? ok kung ganun..pero i still steak on my idea.. baka naman pareha lang ang source nang idea nang tatlong yun kaya same sila nang sinabi.. heheh..but according to the expert ok lang yung 8x video card sa 4x supported board..

try to observe nalang your pc if working strangely..meron kasing instances na ok yang mataas na ram kay supported nagn board kaya lang merong time na magkakaproblema ka at ang hirap e diagnose kasi ok ang ram pag check mo pero ang totoo yun pala ang problema..compatabiliy issue ba kung baga..

well talaga pre... at least i have an idea of this kind of problem... this tech guys came from different computer shop. but arctech told me ok lang ang video card ko kahit 4x lang ang support ng mobo ko... anyway HDD nalang muna papareplace ko.. if everything goes smoothly .. ill buy another video card.. soon

ok ra na bro, again dili lang nimo mapahimuslan ang 8X speed ng agp mo kasi max ng mobo mo is 4x lang.. lugi kalang ng kalahati.

.. ok I think I understand your point here.. so the main reason my why pc kept on crashing last week was because of my pc400 RAM, and not because of my 8x graphics card... anyway i will just try to observe muna how my computer runs at pc400 RAM with my old 4x 64mb mx440 graphics card... settle muna ako sa low settings sa NBAlive 2007 at need4speed most wanted.. huhuhuh.... ganda sana ng graphics nung di pa nagcrash ang pc ko using fx5500.... well thanks sa input... keep you posted what happens in the next few days... btw what would be a good software to check the stability of my RAM and other hardwares... right now i have RAM/CPU sensor...

you may try benchmarking your rig... im not really sure whats the best stress tester for any rig.. perhaps, one of istoryan members gives you a link or name of the software you could use. just wait..

last night i think i remember the temp of my cpu.. its 57 degrees man guro to... my HARD ware monitor program is always warning me about the temp of my cpu since i bought my pc last 4 yrs ago... alright my remount jud kog balik tonight

i think 57C is high enough already, did you already replace your thermal paste?
