Actually, doctors also lie. Some doctors give patients false hopes. Though it's a good thing they're giving hope, the bad side is that on the patient's side, they end up spending more and we all know that there's a lot of cases that are very hopeless. Why won't they just admit that it's over?

^ Yeah, siguro. But i hold them to such high esteem. Maybe because im also in the medical field and knows so many doctors who are my friends. They said that the most powerful man in the world is the US president. Well, no matter how powerful he is, he still need a doctor.

Lawyers are paid to lie to protect and save their clients. Doctors save lives everyday. They literally hold our life in their hands. Personally, mas mo-admire ko ug doctors compared to lawyers. Not to mention mas lisod and med compared to law.

Kapoy naman ug back read oi. I respect both profession but i don't admire lawyers. And what is the problem with that? That is my opinion. To each his own na lang gud. And besides, doctors LITERALLY holds our lives in their hands.

i respect your opinion that you don't admire lawyers; as you said, to each his own. but to say that "lawyers are paid to lie...", that's obviously a misinformed generalization. for one thing, you don't even mention your basis for saying that... in any case, if you don't want to read back and understand what really goes on in my profession, that's up to you....

Okay okay...im sorry if i managed to offend you. I never meant to be insensitive. Peace na ta ha? I didn't mean to generalized all lawyers. Im sure there are those who really have good and pure intentions. Truth to tell, i admire Atty Mendoza, katong lawyer ni Erap sa iyang impeachment trial. I think he was also the lawyer of the Marcoses. He is brilliant.

i'm a medical allied health graduate. during college, the more i knew, the more i became a skeptic.

the medical profession has its merits and flaws. doctors can both save and endanger lives. medical science has a big body of knowledge, but it is still limited. sus kadaghan idiopathic diseases. unknown cause. until now.

as to respect, my respect goes to the professional who displays integrity and expertise. it's not for the profession per se.
