Chelsea head Premiership dream team
Chelsea made up the backbone of the 2005 Professional Footballers' Association Premier League Divisional Awards, which were announced on Sunday evening.
With goalkeeper Petr Cech, captain John Terry and midfielder Frank Lampard all nominated for the Player of the Year Award and winger Arjen Robben on the Young Player shortlist, it was no surprise to see all four make the PFA's FA Premier League Team of the Year, as voted for by their fellow professionals.
Cech, 22, went 1,025 minutes without conceding a league goal in the earlier in the campaign and is joined in the divisional side by his captain Terry, at centre-half.
Terry's England partner Rio Ferdinand, of Manchester United, is also included, while his Old Trafford team-mate Gary Neville makes the all-star XI, along with Arsenal full-back Ashley Cole.
Another of the nominees for the overall PFA Award was Steven Gerrard, and the Liverpool captain joins Lampard in the centre of midfield.
Robben earns his place on the wing, as does Manchester City's Shaun Wright-Phillips, who was also short-listed for the Young Player of the Year Award.
The two-man strike force is made up of 2004 PFA winner Thierry Henry of Arsenal, who has already chalked up more than 30 goals again this season, and Crystal Palace forward Andrew Johnson, both of whom were nominated for the main award.
