Yeah it's genetic mutation. But science sees the process of everything. I mean the process. The bible didn't tell us the minute processes involve during the time of creation. But with science we were able to know those small processes. A day for God can be a thousand, ten thousands or whatever years for us. So maybe evolution was part of that big story of creation. But of course there are many contradictions in between. Maybe we can work it out. I only believe in a supreme being. For now, I do not really want to involve myself in any religion.

I say the reason why evolution was not mentioned in the bible was because of the fact that they knew nothing about a lot of things during their time.. when the bible said one day, it means one day, not a thousand year more or so like you said, otherwise you're denying the omnipotency of your god as a creator who can make something out of nothing in an instant..

God's power is not limited to instantaneous creations ra man bai..so it's not necessarily a denial of God's omnipotence.
or perhaps God did create the entire universe in an instant only that the effects unfolded in a much longer period. mao we can see patterns of creation through cosmological and biological evolution..
perhaps God intended His creation to unfold naturally which for me is still a miracle, just not the miracle we often have in mind.. or pwede pud he just cuased the first spark as the first part of the grand design..

the author simply did not intend to provide scientific details on how God created the universe..
hence there's no reason why we should take the Genesis accounts literally..
and of course for the same reason why you wouldn't find evolution in the Bible 'cause the bible isn't a biology or a science book..
the bible rather provides a different side of Truth about creation.
