THROWBACK! The Old Cebu Views, can u still remember these?

Saw this blog a while back about the old cebu:

29 Cebu Views Cebuanos Will Never See Again - Hanging Rice

Been living in cebu all my life and seeing how rapidly the cityscape is changing, I tried to remember the places I used to go to when I was a kid.

I remembered Coney Island ice cream shop in front of fooda in mango ave. now near kalidades,

When fuente osmena was a skating rink,

When white gold was the hippest mall in the city and I can still remember the large jars of dried prunes,

when somewhere in ayala property, near the back of CIC there was also a skating rink,

when century 21 cinema in front of national bookstore still existed,

when IT park was still an airport (I can still remember playing there as a kid, climbing the rundown air control tower and of course Bearbrand kite festivals!)

When waterfront was still a muddy "tangkongan" where salvage victims where alegedly dumped

When rooftops were filled with radio antennas and everyone had a "call sign",

when jy was only a supermarket and cebu plaza was the popular hotel in town.


Kamo, what do you guys remember about the Old cebu?

Speaking of uptown... Kinsa dri kaabot ug kahinumdum pa sa mga naa sa uptown? Like Funtasia, Narada, Miniature Models, Belvic, Ding Qua2x, Le france, Century 21, Dairy King (not sure mao ba name), Merry Mart etc...

Funtasia? mao ba na ang arcade.dan diha sa fuente? duol if not kanang pizza hut karon?
Narada -> colon kato mga death2x nga mga sinina? kanang sa atbang sa pharmacy na karon?
Ding Qua2x? Ding hao sa una?
Belvic ug century21 mga high end nga sinehan sauna.

Speaking of uptown... Kinsa dri kaabot ug kahinumdum pa sa mga naa sa uptown? Like Funtasia, Narada, Miniature Models, Belvic, Ding Qua2x, Le france, Century 21, Dairy King (not sure mao ba name), Merry Mart etc...

how could i ever forget Narada? i bought my first ever band shirt there (metallica with kirk hammett and his guitar) in their store. i was in 6th grade when i bought it. yeah i remember Narada very well..

Hafta mention also Primrose infront of colonnade mall before.. :>

After simba sa redemptorist church adto Merrymart mag bump cars, Narada, Lady Liz boutique, mao ni palitanan og skate stuffs sa una mga t shirts etc. ang robinsons sikat pa kaayo puno og mga hip hop sa ubos kato naay arcade.
ka remember pa sad ko kato wala pa ang robinsons murag naa man siguro toy piryahan diha one time. Bataa pa nako ato.hehehe!
Ang reclamation mag drag race mga auto, ang lot karun sa sm naay dirt track diha para motocross sa una.
Mingaw pa ang Cebu sa una nindut pa kaayo.....

kahinumdum kaayo ka ani boss! sige ko duwa arcade sa una sa Funtasia,hehehe, palit t shirt narada. sa Century sus ninduta ato Cebu Bicycle. maglaway lang ko sa bikes og skateboards ato na shop.

It's like making a thread to call visitors, the post is all about "Cebu views Cebuanos will never see again."
Pero kn ang uban place kay ni exist paman. Some site, that area can still be seen when u visit there. Maybe tactics4x ^__^
