I cant tell you if it's true or not, but in retrospect. If you were Marcos and you knew Ninoy is the symbol of your opposition, would you have him killed knowing that there will be cameras to have the image of a dead Ninoy in the tarmac printed all over the papers and shown on TV? I really think that the general belief that Marcos ordered Ninoy's assassination does not take into account a viable motive.
