The problem of this scrimmage game was it was not sanctioned by FIBA. Although, it was commercialized but it was just a practiced game turned bad. The stanchion was "too close" and not fit for NBA standards. That's why the NBA was so hard on not to have the Gilas v NBA stars to happen and someone here thought the NBA was belittling the country in terms of basketball courts specifications and medical equipments. Now, the Pacers are stuck paying an injured Paul George for the upcoming season.

An anonymous USA team doctor has said:
" I don't want to come out and sound heartless but the fans want to know, I'm not going to butter this up, Paul George's career might be over, it's very possible that he snapped a major artery in his ankle or leg. "
