Mermaids, mermans?

i dont believe in mermaids/mermans.. sa kadugay na sa panahon, nganong wa man gihapoy nadakpan?

the picture of the merman above is an old hoax! this is not taken in cebu...it was taken somewhere in florida in the US. the owner of the pics is an american who sell unusual works of art on ebay. he is selling this merman along with other mermaid figures called "fiji mermaids" which were made of preserved tails of big fishes and the torso of monkeys...fused together to look like a half fish-half humanoid freak. the torso of the creature posted here is made of something else...but the stiffness of the surface of the torso and the way it appears somehow indicates that most of it are made of plaster and other artificial materials. the fins on the side of the head could be the pectoral fins of the fish from which the tail part came from.

look at the lower right corner of the pictures, you will see the ebay watermarks on them.

and look at the eyes at the photo, it doesn't look real

it work both ways, dominant ta sa land while sila dominant in water. if they really exist.
