what are you saying donated?.. every penny coming in to the church is understood to be owned by the whole ministry, eg VATICAN, if your percentages are true, the 90 % percent that you are saying is just a form of subsidy to the local church by the VATICAN, because apparently sending everything directly to ROME would bankrupt every Christian country,.. in other words dili ang parish ang nag donate ngadto sa VATICAN, it's the other way around..

The Vatican have a hell lot of fundraising if i must say.. money is being invested in stock markets worldwide.. and the Vatican church is said to already own 15% of all the stocks and shares registered on the Italian Stock Exchange alone, if you cant somehow wrap your head around that, let's just say that's a lot of money... and they currently made vast fortune when they invested their money in the American Stock Market after the collapse.. and all of that "TAX FREE"..

As always, the gold and glitter in the Churches that are supposedly intended for God's worship always attract jealous eyes who themselves want to dig in to the Church coffers.

legally bay dili mkatan-aw ang LGU(Local Government Unit) sa finances sa simbahan of any religion., because of the rule that the separation of Church and the State shall be inviolable (Art II, Sec. 6, Phil. Const. 1987)... i dunno why LGUs sa inyong probinsya are doing that as every church is not obliged by our law to be transparent, church transparency is a prerogative dependent solely on its ministry, storya2 ra cguro nang imoha... however if true, aw wala cguro silay salig sa inyong simbahan, hahaha..

for the benefit of everybody, common sense tell us that the parish priest is busy with his ministry and will need persons who will count the beans, clean the churches, wash the linens and orchestrate the activities for the parish while he is away. The council is one indispensable way to fulfill these duties, definitely not the LGU.

i think naay existing prohibition ang Simbahan regarding first cousin marriages. If you plan to marry your first cousin, you have to talk to the local ordinary (bishop) as it can be used as a ground for annulment. second cousin marriages is allowed though.

sorry to dissapoint you bro but i believe i have answered your question. you asked why some text are taken literally while some aren't, so ang tubag kay because of various reasons. one of the many is the author's perspective..

mao tong naghatag ko ug example sa noah's flood..
the bible says, the whole earth was covered by the flood but in archaeology, there's no evidence of a worldwide flood..Plus..daghang mga races that predates the flood..so impossible kaayo nga kita tanan gikan ra nilang Noah...

so does this mean that the bible is wrong? Not necessarily..
could it be that when the author said that the earth was covered with water, he was just describing what he sees and what he perceives? Probably..
therefore, this verse in Genesis describing the whole earth being covered with water is not to be taken literally..

another point, God created man from dust..
does this mean that evolution is wrong? No..in fact Science shows a very strong case that human beings were indeed a product of evolution..
does this mean that the Bible is wrong? again not necessarily..this only disproves the literal take on that particular verse..
metaphorically, dust could represent nature..and the phrase God created man could mean..thousands of evolution years..
Truth cannot contradict truth..therefore this verse on creation is not to be taken literally..

Mao ang problem karon, you incorporate science into the bible when your religion states that Science is the works of evil/witchcraft. Youre making your own bible. Katong 4 pillars of the earth, we all know dili to tinoud.. Ay ko ingna kay way alamag ang mga tao nga nag buhat ana sauna? Kung wala man diay silay alamag sauna and not 'blessed' with the angels/holy spirit ang scripture na ilang gipamuhat, What makes it a viable source? The problem with the answer is you only choose to believe what you deem is right, the bible also says that earth is 6,000 or 7,000 years old pa daw.. wouldn't that make the bible flawed & incomplete? And if the bible is flawed & incomplete, wouldn't that make the authors who are blessed by the holy spirit also fakes?

Btw, God did Not personally Created the Bible. The People who wrote the Bible are inspired by God through the Holy Spirit.
