The Boy and Kris idea is a waste of forum space size. Actors and actresses need not run in office. They already have enough fame, power, and money to make a difference in service if that's what they want to do.

Let's do a national information dissemination and initiate a move not to vote showbiz personalities in the 2016 elections or in any other election for that matter. Let's vigilant in researching and reviewing the qualifications of these candidates. A background in law and an experience in the lower offices of the government may not automatically make the candidate a good leader, but at least it will validate the candidacy. Chaos comes from ignorance and ignorance will be the root of insecurity which will lead to corruption.

It will not be enough to leave things here. Let's inform the public and together let's make a difference. There are too many uneducated and miseducated Filipinos. Let's help them understand.

If this news is true and if ever this people win the elections, I would be inclined to believe that our people are just plain old retards and no one should ever go full retard. And with the countless times our masses voted for this kind of people, it is just so disheartening... I someday we realize our mistakes or better yet, only tax payers should be allowed to vote. It may not fix the problem but at least it will make an impact to the stupid amounts of votes for this type of would be politicians...

TV host Boy Abunda seems to be prepping up in the 2016 elections. We chanced upon a Facebook account, Abunda 2016, which clearly depicts him as a potential candidate in the 2016 elections.
“This campaign is about overcoming mediocrity, embracing excellence, and changing the face of Philippine politics,” the Facebook account said. Ang nakatalang misyon ay ito: “There are many ways to serve the country.
Ours is to encourage a man, whom we believe will be a great leader and public servant, to run for office – Abunda2016.” Sa isa sa mga entries, pinupulsuhan ang 2,000 followers nito kung feel ba nilang tumakbo si tito Boy bilang senator.
Marami naman ang nagsabing okay ang TV host for that position. Actually, ang original plan is for tito Boy to run for public office in his hometown in Borongan, Samar.
Kaya nga noong may bagyo ay kinaray niya si Kris Aquino para mamahagi ng relief goods doon. That was his way to make his presence felt there.
Ang nakatatandang kapatid ni tito Boy ay naging opisyal sa kanilang bayan, siyempre, sa tulong na rin ng TV host. Apparently, tito Boy is now setting his eyes on a national position.
Obviously, he is eyeing the senatorial post. And obviously, too, ngayon pa lang ay pinupulsuhan na niya ang mga tao sa social media kung may chances siya kapag siya ay tumakbo sa 2016 national elections.
Last two years na ni President P-Noy and for sure, kung tatakbo nga si tito Boy as a senator ay sa panig siya ng brother ni Kris Aquino. Ang mangyayari kung ganoon nga ang senaryo ay pagtanaw ng utang na loob.
You must remember how costly it was for tito Boy to drop his contract with Sen. Manny Villar nang malaman niyang tatakbo si P-Noy for presidency then.
Kahit na nakapagsimula na siya ng campaign for Villar ay bigla niya itong iniwan in favor of Kris’ brother. When P-Noy won, it was time to pay back tito Boy’s loyalty. The TV host was offered, if we were not mistaken, the Department of Tourism post.
He declined. But P-Noy is bent to please the TV host. Since inayawan niya ang posisyon, for delicadeza perhaps, ang partner niyang si Bong Quintana ang inalok and he gladly took the Assistant Vice-President for Entertainment ng PAGCOR.
For sure ay isa si tito Boy sa magiging senatoriable ng Palasyo come 2016. Siyempre, siya naman ang bibigyan ng ayuda ng brother ni Kris. Wanna bet?
Practicality-wise, dapat ngang tumakbo si tito Boy habang nakapuwesto pa si P-Noy. It will save him so much money. Siyempre, magagamit niya ang makinarya ng gobyerno although naniniwala kami na meron din naman siyang sariling machinery.
Pero teka, totoo rin kaya na aside from Boy Abunda ay pinag-iisipan din ni Kris na tumakbong senador sa 2016? At meron din kaming nabasa na posible ring mag-Vice-President ang TV host sa next elections?
Well, lahat naman ay posibleng mangyari, lalo na sa politika?E, si P-Noy nga, walang kaplanu-planong maging pangulo, but instantly, biglang naghari sa Malacañang!

TV host not closing doors on politics

MANILA - Supporters of Boy Abunda have taken online to urge him to run for public office in 2016, but for the TV host, seeking election may have to wait several more years.

Dubbed "Abunda 2016," the campaign was set up as early as March this year and has an active presence on social networking sites Facebook and Twitter.

"This campaign is about overcoming mediocrity, embracing excellence, and changing the face of Philippine politics," the campaign says on it Facebook page.

"There are many ways to serve the country. Ours is to encourage a man, whom we believe will be a great leader and public servant, to run for office," its mission statement reads.

In a phone interview with ABS-CBNnews.com, Abunda said he has no involvement in the campaign but admitted he is aware of it.

While he described its intent as "very good," the TV host said it will not be the lone deciding factor in his political plans -- if any.

Asked directly if he will join the upcoming elections, Abunda said: "I am not shy. If I have interest in anything, I will say it. There is no stopping me from saying what I want."

"This is definitive: I will not run in 2016," he stressed.
