boohoo the president is being called Abnoy. Ouch, kalooy ni PNoy. Shouldn't have run for a political office if he didn't want to be scrutinized or get the ire of the people if he makes a bad decision. gi trato man nimu ang presidency sa country like it was similar to a class president oi. Suma, the president has tendencies of a gradeschooler.

Imu rang gituyok2x ang issue. 42% of 38 million is not majority here in the Philippines. Even if it was, people have the right to complain even if they did vote for him. He ran on a platform. He made promises. If he doesn't owe up to them, then those people--especially those who voted for him, should feel cheated. I didn't vote for the man, but that's how I'd feel if my candidate won and was not doing a good job in the office. The only time you can absolve PNoy from his mistakes during his presidency is if he said "I'm not going to do a good job running the country" before he was elected. Then in that case maka-ingon ko nga sakto ka. But that isn't the case here. His promises are many but unfulfilled.

Also, shouldn't you be angry that the system is like that? That media has such a control over the masses because a significant number of them are uneducated or undereducated? which by the way goes back to the government.

uh...no. Vote buying is rampant because the system allows it to be. And overall it goes back to voter education.

Sakto ka but that 58% of 38 million didn't come empty handed or got out with a clean hand. Still the majority took that opportunity to get an easy money, a clear manifestation of a corrupt community. Who allows it? the system? the system that consist of corrupt individuals? Yes tungod sa demokrasya they gained so much power that even the people's power can be manipulated, leading us to a direction they wanted. I doubt education can help us as well coz they will only teach you what they want you know.

You're supposed to hold the government accountable because they are LEADERS. Kybaw ka unsa nang leader? Kita nga dili ta leaders, kutob ra ta sah atong mga offsprings or maybe even family. We can't tell other people what to do, because frankly we have no authority over them. You can try, but most often than not, walay effect. Pareha nato, I can't impose what I believe unto you, and you can't unto me. Have you even tried telling somebody what's supposed to be right and what's wrong? Unless they asked for your advice, sagad they'll shrug you off.

I'm not saying normal people can't inspire people or instill a change, but they are almost in extraordinary circumstances. Now leaders, or people who are voted to lead a country, already have supporters--If they lead by example, the general trend is that people will be inspired or move to be like that leader. They become role models. You are expecting too much from human psyche to think nga change will just manifest in a large number of people without a catalyst or leader. It's not like some kind of movie where everyone just reaches an epiphany and change like it was the denouement of the story. It really doesn't matter how the cycle started anymore, AFAIK moot naman nah. We can argue that the people are corrupt because the government is corrupt or that the government is corrupt because the people are corrupt. It doesn't matter. The important thing is, leaders are there to lead. Think of it as a flock of sheep and the shepherd.

If you have the resources and time to start an organization that aims to educate voters, go ahead. I'll even help you if you are sincere about it. Even though it is welfare related and still should be a part of the scope of the government's responsibility. It still goes back to people needing someone to lead.

honestly I wouldn't care if gi birahan sa media ang mga politcians or not. My objection is that it tends to be very partisan or partial to one side ra kaayo. The media steers people to their interests. You really think gi-birahan si PNoy sa media? wala ra na katunga sa panahon ni Gloria nga halos kada news is the character assassination of PGMA.

Ladies and gentlemen, the government has no control and is not an authoritative entity. I'm not even going to respond to this asinine bit.

    Whose they?

If one were just a free-thinker without being versed about the function of their environment, then it is useless. Contrast diay nang free-thinking and education? as far as I know you can be educated and be a free-thinker. You think innovators are just free thinkers? Virtually all of them are well-educated to begin with. How can you be a free-thinker if wala say unod imung utok? Free siguro ug hangin imung pasabot. People who are open-minded are educated too, that's why they are able to accept different approaches to a subject and learn about it. Aha man ka aning idea nimu?

Anyway OT najud ta pila ka volleys back.
