    you need a cat6 for that kind of switch boss... which is more expensive than a cat5

    nope sir. you can still use the cat5 utp with rj45 for this kind of switch.
    the switch (COREGA) can auto sense if your lancard supports 1000mbps so no worries.

    i love corega products.. hehhe. so far, its reliable..

    i currently have corega wireless lancard ang corega wireless router.. both supports upto 108mbps speed wirelessly unlike others 54mbps only.

    but still we can use CAT5 cable sir, you may refer below site:

    though it is being stated that we can use the cat5 in gigabit ethernet it is advisable to use cat5e and cat6..
    pero para sa dli ka afford ug cat6 and cat5e, pwedi ra gyud ang cat5 for 1000Base-T.
