I was just wondering, take for example the Benilde incident, so far only one member surfaced... Is it not the responsibility of the organization to turn over to the authorities the accountable members involved in that initiation the went awry?

ideally it should be the responsibility of the organization but we know that this will not happen.

successful jud na. diri nalang kay kasagaran question nagbalik balik ra.
plus ang birada sa uban, medyo makainit pero payts ra.

i hope someday, fraternities will evolve.. and be among the best org.

Good to hear that you took the time in answering my queries sir, pasagdahi na lang to ang manga gagmay og utok, as they may not understand what it is like to be in a fraternal organization.

It would be good if the time will come where the erring party would just come forward and own up to their mistake, be accountable for their actions, take responsibility and save the face of the organization to which they are a part of.... After all, the organization is bigger than the individual... I hope I get to live long enough to see it. I'm just sad that kinahanglan pang tabun tabunan ang sayup sa pila ka manga tao, madamay pa hinoon ang integridad sa organization...

As I have asked before, maybe brothers like @ngitscarlo09 @MaInEvEnT @vahnhelsing @The_JACKAL can share to us here some insights like who is accountable if an initiate dies during the hazing process? Who will take responsibility, the immediate members, the president of the organization? Will the organization compensate the family of the deceased?

Imho, I am not for or against those procedures as that is the prerogative of the organization and the initiates are joining on their own free will... I just want to know if there is accountability when initiation rites results in death... Or are they made to sign a waiver absolving the organization and its members from any liability before the initiation begins...

In my honest opinion, the ones accountable are the ones who participated in the initiation rites. not only the master initiator but also the other members who also participated. Ang mga namunal ug apil because sila mismo kita sad sa kahimtang sa neophyte and they should know when enough is enough

It is, and I think the fraternity has already committed to helping with the case. Kaso if they really would, dli sad ta ma kbalo ana.. naa na na sa ilahang organization if unsa jud ila buhaton.

Another question, how come the elders or higher ups are mum on this or seems to be distancing themselves from the issue. Are they not obliged to be responsible enough to turn over to the authorities the persons involved in that botched initiation? Or is it SOP to just sweep it under the rug?

Same ra ni ug tubag sa imong mga questions earlier. Yes, they should get involved and be responsible. If you feel that they are not doing that then for whatever their reasons are, wala ko kbalo ngano and dli ko maka tubag na ana.. Pero dli lang sad ta mu generalize sa ilahang tanan members coz I'm sure like all other frats including mine, naay mga badlongon pero naa sad daghan tarong members... Let's just wait and see what unfolds in the coming days if unsa sad jud buhaton ani na organization.. dli lang usa ta mu judge dayon kay wa paman sad ni mahuman

Sorry na double man. Not passing judgement or generalizing sir, just asking lang sa mga fratres here sa inyung mga inputs og SOP regarding the matter. Understandable ra man na nga naay manga bad apples ma sagol sa basket...

I'm wondering what their leadership is doing, as in any structured organization, there is command responsibility. Imho, it would be prudent to surrender the erring members and their direct superior to the authorities. And basing from the results of the previous fatal hazing incidents, guess I'm just too idealistic...
