    Default Naa bay naka sulay og set up og web server sa balay ??

    Curious kaau ko ani na topic setting up web server sa balay ??

    tried to set my XAMP to be viewable online pero dli lage cya ma view bsag wan ip na akong i type sa browser.. nya akong router naka port forwarding ..

    unsa d.ay mga factors akong i consider ani if mag set up ko web server sa balay ??

    please help ....

    try to check first if port is open. You can use telnet among other tools. and if you are running Windows, check if windows firewall is ON.

    check your firewall and open port 80. then goto www.canyouseeme.org and check it if its open or blocked by your ISP.

    ge check nako akong ip block akong port 80 og 8080 ... if ing.ani na case block by isp akong mga ports pwede bako maka request og unblock ani ?? or naa ni cla i offer na lain plan nga pang business na with static ip .. nya open iyang port ??

    Bro kung dli open ang port 80, it does not necessarily mean nga ang port na block na. Sometimes it is just as simple as the webservice not running. Have you configured your router to forward port 80 to the machine running the web service?

    Public IP ts is all you need. modems are connected via vpn sa isp naa ra nila if isolated ang ip sa local or part sa general public... the WAN. if ma ping nimo imong ip using other isp it is public. ikaw nai bahla pag secure sa tanan your pc is open to the world...

    If mag setup ka sa balay for 24/7 service, palit nalang og domain and host. Kay mas tipid sa kuryente and secure..

    Pero back to topic, port forwarding sa imu router ang imu kelangan. Wala'y domain, you can acess your web server using wan ip and forwarded port. Pero kung ganahan ka naa'y domain, like, mywebserver.com, palit ka og dns or mangita ka'g free dns. Search lang sa google, free dynamic dns. Free dns though kay mo.sakay ka sa ilang domain, like, mywebserver.dyn-dnsserver.com
