in general I don't like it when my favorite manga or anime ends, definitely melancholic as someone in here pointed out, but I just hate it when they leave it with no clear resolution. I know it's artistic license but still. For example Samurai Champloo.

it's not like any of the three main characters die, it's just that they end up going their own separate and distant lives at the end. It's both beautiful and so damned maddening
