Karon pa sila kita nga dili effective?funny

Nag lisud man gani ug sabot ug english ang mga pre-k12 nga students.ambot nalang aning mga bata karon. Daghang students karon nga abot nalang ug college pero ang english vocabulary mo tupong sa elementary.i don't think that mother tongue would help. Ngano sa panahon namo nga english man ang instructions maka apas ra man. Naka lahi sa kabataan karon kay anad kaayo nga spoon fed,nya hatag hatagan ra ug "award" para dili ma "hurt" ang self esteem.

Well, makita na nato in the coming year(s) kung tinuod ba based sa ilang assessment or studies nga dili effective ang pagtudlo kung dili mogamit sa mother tongue. Sa akong nahebaw-an part sa result nga naay high drop out sa elementary kay dili sila kaapas sa klase. One way to solve it is to use the mother tongue. And fortunately, the result says its true.

Ang ako nakita nga challenge wala sa bata kung dili sa educator kung kamao ba mo impart sa knowledge using the mother tongue kay lagi ang usual nga medium nga gigamit kay English.

Lightbulb K12: not this time please

IMHO the K12 is not yet ripe to be fully enforce here in the Philippines

and for those who are pro-K12 then i don't have against it

and if you ask me, if it's not yet ripe to be implemented ... and when is the right moment? then here's my honest answer:

as of the moment, before K12 should be fully enforce then we should address first the existing problem in our educational system

first, we should reduce the number of students in each class. in fact, it may not be a problem anymore in public school only but i noticed that even private schools are over crowded in a single class

how can a teacher fully handle, manage or impart the lesson effectively if there are like 60 or more students in a single class

i'm not a teacher and i may not have research it well but all of these are my observation during my school days from elementary and HS. and it haven't changed even now that i have already nephews and nieces who are already in their schools also

perhaps if we can address the first issue then we can move to the next problem

second, we should have a classroom for each class or section. not just under the trees, in a vacant stage, in the extended hallways, or in a grand stand

it's very ironic that the said K12 has undergoes a lot of so called research, studies, consultations, and so on and so forth yet no one sees it that not all pupils in the elementary or students in HS have their own class rooms

it is said that education is expensive yet most of our lawmakers received huge budgets for unknown projects then why not divert this all to education

it's very confusing that the biggest budget allocation goes to our educational system but the problem of overcrowding and lack of classroom has not been resolve

and now, adding the Grade 11 and Grade 12 may add more problem to overcrowding as their are no classrooms yet that are being build in anticipation of the additional year of grade class

does this mean that other lower or existing classes will be lowered in their number of class hours just to make way for the new grades 11 & 12 to occupy the existing rooms?

    third, facilities!

yes, school facilities. how good it must be that the science laboratory should be upgraded. likewise, computer rooms should be enhance with the current technology surfacing. and more out of school trips like excursions that will benefit the learning like study of plants and animals in the farms

besides, some of the teachers are handling multiple subjects. i mean i'm sure that you heard a teacher that is handling Pilipino subjects then at the same time handling also Social Studies a.k.a. araling panlipunan. it's even sad to say that some teachers are handling Math subjects then may substitute to handle MAPEH.

not just that, some teachers are handling subjects that are not of their inclinations. i noticed all these when i was able to tutor one of my nieces that i found out that the substitute teacher for an English subject as the original teacher was on maternity leave. the substitute teacher is a Mass Communication graduate and is not a LET passer. i'm not looking down or making the teacher feel small but it doesn't mean that the teacher may be a cum laude or deans lister graduate or an IELTS passer but as long that it doesn't have a MOI method of instructions knowledge or licensed from PRC then it has no right to teach.

this usually happens in small private schools in the locality in which my niece used to study presently. just hoping that parents in the said class will have the courage to open it up to the school administration

fourth, the salary grade of the teachers should be increase, as well, the teacher should only be allowed to handle a single subject like if it handle Chemistry then it should only handle Chemistry. for me, it's okay if the said teacher will handle Chemistry subjects in all levels as long only Chemistry subjects and not jump into Physics during TTh and Chemistry during MWF

all of us must have noticed it that some teachers are doing tutorials classes after the regular glass ends in the afternoon. sometimes, teachers also handles classes during Saturday's just to augment their income

i can't just see the reason why the law of K12 has been passed without noticing the existing issues

i have not read all the post from these thread Destroying Philippines, K12 current system is... and i may not be the first person to attack that it's not yet time yet to implement K12

it seems that K12 is too commercialism in nature. it is said that K12 was initiated since the Philippines is one of the only two remaining countries that has 10 years of basic educational system. i guess it's not the number of years that counts but the quality of education that our systems imposes

lastly, K12 only shows really to cater for commercial purposes like going straight to call centers or BPOs as it said that to prepare those who can't afford to go to college then better to have K12

why not we restore the Trade Schools before in which the HS students will have a major in vocational subjects such as automotive mechanics, machine shop, industrial electricity, commercial electronics, building constructions, furniture and cabinet making, dress making, cosmetology, food trades, architectural drafting, and so on
