imho
being an autocad user for the past 15 years, since acad v12 up to 2014.
autocad is more memory hungry than it is processor hungry.
the need for stronger processors only arise when 3d "solids" are to be used. helps with boolean operations. and rendering.
kung traditional 2d lang the type nga 1 file naa tanan ASMEEP (arch struc, mech, elec, ece, plumbing), youll probably need more memory before anything else.

now kung mag render ka, bisag i7 kuwang na kung complicated na imo model.

now regarding GPU, autocad isnt a GPU hungry application, sa pan, zoom, orbit, etc rana. para nako dili kaayo importante ang GPU sa acad2d. pero ayaw sad nang onboard graphics.
