Yes the Church considers two kinds of churches, one would be the Church as we know it kanang building as a house of worship, then there is the body of Christ which is composed of all those who believe in the Father, Son and Spirit as One God in three persons.

personally, my wife and i wanted to have a garden wedding but dili pwede sa Catholic Church. we need to tie the knot in the parish as it has been consecrated to God.

for the same reason that the jews worship God in the Tabernacle although God is omnipresent..because the tabernacle is consecrated to God as a place of worship..
just like the fact that we need to go to church to attend a service in your case, when we can worship God anywhere with a song of praise.

@noy thanks for answering my question. Although, I had made up my mind that we won't be having any "literal church" wedding. We'd have it in a beach and I still believe that the place isn't that important as long as the people are gathered together and one in celebrating the union between 2 people. I have a lot of friends man gud nga catholic, muslim, atheist, etc and dli ko ganahan nga mosulod sila sa church sa whatever among church para lang sa among wedding.

But kasabot ko and in fact I respect your decision to stick to what the RCC believes and teaches. Lisud bya jud motoo ug something nga mo contradict sa unsa imong ganahan. Saludo ko nimo ana @noy

it is a short prayer bai, to keep the gospel in our thoughts, in our lips and in our hearts..
sometimes, you'd see people physically say(although di kusog) the prayer.
Sa akong nahibaw-an pud bro kay katulo ra. Pwede ra wala ang huge sign of the cross as long as naa lang ang 3 little crosses...

According to Canon 1118 of the Vatican Canon Law:

    1. A marriage between Catholics or between a Catholic party and a non-Catholic baptized party is to be celebrated in a parish church. It can be celebrated in another church or oratory with the permission of the local ordinary or pastor.

    2. The local ordinary can permit a marriage to be celebrated in another suitable place.

    3. A marriage between a Catholic party and a non-baptized party can be celebrated in a church or in another suitable place.

To wit, wedding between two baptized persons opposite in gender, provided that at least one of them is RC, may conduct their marriage in any place suitable for such an occassion provided that they ask permission from a local ordinary - or what we know as the Bishop - this is the reason why you often see celebrity weddings outside the church..

If a Roman Catholic person is marrying a person not baptized in any religion, he/she cannot marry him/her in any RC Church, but may conduct their marriage in any place suitable for such an occasion although this cannot be officiated by an RC officer or priests but any officer officiated by our law may.. Same legal effect..

"Outside the Church there is no salvation"
846 How are we to understand this affirmation, often repeated by the Church Fathers? Re-formulated positively, it means that all salvation comes from Christ the Head through the Church which is his Body:

Basing itself on Scripture and Tradition, the Council teaches that the Church, a pilgrim now on earth, is necessary for salvation: the one Christ is the mediator and the way of salvation; he is present to us in his body which is the Church. He himself explicitly asserted the necessity of faith and Baptism, and thereby affirmed at the same time the necessity of the Church which men enter through Baptism as through a door. Hence they could not be saved who, knowing that the Catholic Church was founded as necessary by God through Christ, would refuse either to enter it or to remain in it.336

847 This affirmation is not aimed at those who, through no fault of their own, do not know Christ and his Church:
Those who, through no fault of their own, do not know the Gospel of Christ or his Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart, and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do his will as they know it through the dictates of their conscience - those too may achieve eternal salvation
    .

848 "Although in ways known to himself God can lead those who, through no fault of their own, are ignorant of the Gospel, to that faith without which it is impossible to please him, the Church still has the obligation and also the sacred right to evangelize all men."

    source: CCC - PART 1 SECTION 2 CHAPTER 3 ARTICLE 9 PARAGRAPH 3

to answer your question bro, Salvation only comes through Christ alone, however He instituted His salvic works through His body, the Church therefore making the church a necessity for one's Salvation.
This however, does not mean that only Catholics or Trinitarian Christians will be saved but it is rather a mere revelation of how we are saved through Christ.
Salvation in its fullness is a mystery only known to God.
and with that having been said, we can only go as far as concluding that only through Christ shall we be saved and through His Church shall we know salvation but never can we absolutely know who will and will not be saved.

God as the supreme judge may have a way of salvation through Christ for others who are not Christians in ways and circumstances only known to Him.

    Hope this Helps
    Ok, well said brod,.
