PERL, PHP, ROR, PYTHON are programming language that can be used to develop website.

so one of these is good but being good at all of these language is better.

Perl is still widely used. Since it's part of your job, so invest studying it while in office. It will be good accidental skill.
It's very powerful but very ugly language. But you will learn a lot from Perl, not just the language itself, but also knowledge about operating system/linux/unix, since it was developed originally as a good tool for text processing/Unix reporting which borrowed a lot of features from awk/sed/shell/C.

If it's your personal project, Python is sexy.
