i THINK you are right, but maybe we need to consider nga kinahanglan sad ta mo change ang atung view. ang development man gud mag sugud sa gobyerno taposun sa mga taw. dili lang kay tanan ipasangil sa gobyerno.
Yes it is like this for many centuries already but thats why we have been like this for centuries pod kay tungud sa atung view.
what country is not run by elites?
Shimiyu, since you didnt do your reseach ill give one example, Afganistan... The minority ( position, civilians, citizens, u know small people ) there has the power over majority, dont ask again and do your own research. Countries run by elites mean alot to us, because they can monopolize things...
what this thread means is awareness that people dont have the power to make things possible to the peoples advantage...because its run by elites....
.....aaaaand that was after the U.S. cleaned up their bathroom from Muslim extremists.Originally Posted by shimiyu

thanks for the info. jeez, you don't have to be so worked up on that. that was both rhetorical and an actual query.
Simple logic:
Elites are rich.
Elites have power and authority.
Government officials are greedy and corrupt.
Government officials want power and authority.
Elites have what the "trapos" want and crave.
Government "trapos" side to the elites to have what they want.
"Trapos" give in to the elites to be on their side.
In the end, elites run everything and these "trapos" get a fair and big share.
Trapos: "To hell with you ordinary folks, wa man mi makuha sa inyoha!! Diri na lang mi, we have money, power, authority and popularity."
so what do we propose to do...?
^the lower class must cross over to the middle class. how? financial empowerment again. money = power.
Well good question... remember the thread is about...its about Gen. Almontes book " LEVELING THE PLAYING FIELD " That is what he said when he was intervied on T.V. .He also said that its not a government problem, it a nationwide problem, and what he also mean in that interview is ....that not all of the filipinos proverty is made by the Filipinos, it is created by the " so called elites" . Imagine if filipinos today would make up 90% of middle class ? They will be threatened by that ? right? Theyre concept is " dont give them wings, so they cannot fly"
So they monopolize.....and as YOkam said keep the money by them selves..
how do we translate that to practical action..?
