For me i choose both because using pencil or charcoal can draw anything using your imagination...

Both are very useful for drawing. Both plays major role draw any sketches. If we use quality pencils than we can make perfect sketch without having any issues. Both are used to draw your imagination on drawing board or drawing pad.

Well according ti me pencil or charcoal draw both are good at different way there is no comparison between them. Pencil draw are available easily in everyones art-book but charcoal draw is professional draw which available in few of them art-book in black & white images.

Pencils are for basic graphite drawing. While charcoals are for advanced drawing... If you want to have a professional look, charcoal is the best...
