if we really care about these creatures....the best thing we can do is by not going there.......let's leave them alone.....taking advantage of these creatures is unhuman......

All the assholes saying its bad for the whale sharks are obviously not talking based on experience or expertise. You have to see it from the whale's perspective. Would you stay in a place if you didn't like being there? It's not like the whales are caged in a zoo or whatever. Makakaon pa sila and they are safe from hunters and poachers elsewhere kay obviously no one from that place wants to hunt a butanding.

Stop deciding for others thinking you know better. The whales are better traveled than any of you and you guys think you know better? The whales just want to be friends with people is there anything wrong with that? We have hunted them to near extinction and they still want to be friends with us.

I say let the DSWD put aside a budget for their feeding. And I say DSWD and not Fisheries under Agriculture because these whales are better than many people. We've been feeding scum from the slums for decades and they have done little for the country besides rob, rape, and pillage. It's time we actually start caring for those that bring in money. Would a tourist pay to watch a rugby boy do his best impression of King Leonidas? Seriously who wants to be near a rugby boy much less try to pet it? Would the rugby boy appreciate it? I don't think so so it's a lose lose for everyone!

Would a tourist pay dollars to watch some harmless whales? YES!!! Would the whales like it? Obviously YES!!!

its good to know that these gentle creatures have found a home here in southside that means that there's abundant food supply, but sad to note that locals used them for there personal agendas, slowly killing these creatures with their greed

Obviously you don't know what you were saying..

provisioning as what Marine Biologist had called it or feeding the toki, have altered their behavioral pattern, there are supposedly have to hunt, they are supposedly have to migrate for nature designed them as such.

by provisioning, they were made dependent to the people who exploit them..

by making them inter-act with human, make them susceptible to the whale hunting people else where should this creature migrate.

Hi, just a suggestion when having an outing. Aside from planning on the destination, you should also consider the transportation. A long hours travel is very stressful and can diminish the enjoyment we suppose to get in the vacation. If you are in a group in a maximum of 14, why not rent a van. It's hassle free and relaxing to ride. I have tried bingbings rent a van in cebu. Their driver is very nice. It feels great to ride on a brand new toyota commuter latest model. If you like, you can inquire to them with their numbers (032) 268 - 0012 / 0919 5686024. Or visit their website Bingbing's Rent A VAN | Affordable van for rent in Cebu
