Saw the movie today. I think this has a good take compared to the previous X-men movies that totally killed comics aficionado like me.

@geo25 Huyyy kita naka ani?
Best X-Men film so far. Never mind if the timeline or continuity don't make sense, it's still a solid comic book adaptation. Loved the subtle references to the X-Men lore, from Pietro's parentage, Magneto's "recommendation" for Logan's claws, to Jason Stryker.
That post credits scene. En Sabah Nur and the 4 Horsemen.
Nice story..though not much action but it was nice....
Dghan kaayo loopholes lang...Like..
-How is Professor X alive?
-How did wolverine grew back his claws? since it was reverted back to his bone claw in the last wolverine movie..
-How did Magneto got his powers back?

Gahapon. It was good but I'm nitpicky.
-Love Blink's portals. Plus, Fan Bingbing is very pretty.
-The sentinels look very good yet too futuristic.
-Some good action scenes but some characters are stuck with the action scenes—they talked very little.
-A very ugly Peter Maximoff, not Pietro, in a very good scene.
-Wasted and underused characters. Bishop and the gang could have done more. Warpath, tsk, tsk. Sunspot is a human solar cell, y'know? Havok was, like, a main character from a TV show who has left and who returned for a single scene at the end of a series finale. Kitty Pryde taking Rachel Summers' role, she's psychic now? Second mutation?
-Some continuity issues; if Fox may have their way, they'd rather have you not point out. More like, if you watch Pokemon, the GS ball and that recurring Jigglypuff.
-Cameos
-En Sabah Nur
- post credits scene of Last Stand showed him having moved his consciousness to another body. Later explained offscreen to be his brain dead twin.
- magic. Lol I don't know.
- it was implied he got them back in a final scene in Last Stand.
Love how DoFP is pretty much a reboot/retcon, an elegant one at that, similar to the new Stark Trek films.
seen the movie. loved it. the past was brilliant. Charles, Mystique, Wolverine and Magneto were brilliant, especially Charles. this was his movie. but the serum thing that shuts his powers but gives him the ability to walk is lazy. Quicksilver was cool, Beast was just there, and Trask was like Malekith with a little personality. Peter Dinklage was underused in this movie. Magneto lifting that stadium was amazing. and why would Mystiquer want to do the Weapon X program now? that was kind of out of nowhere.
the future was kind of cool. some pretty good looking special effects like Blink's power and Sunspot and Iceman's powers. but that was it, really. didn't really explain what Warhawk does, how Kitty can send people to the past, how Xavier recreated his body(and why he recreated it in the same way and not fix his spine). and the time travel stuff I didn't think was accurate, but that would probably just be nitpicking.
anyway, pretty good movie. bit better than Captain America: The Winter Soldier in my opinion. a lot of emotion and can get one sentimental. there were moments were I almost choked up like when Wolverine was telling Charles about how Charles guided him and Jean and the rest, and that they need him etc. and when Charles talked to his future self about hope for the future. great moments.
7/10
now as to the future of the franchise. there's a lot of potential here. they can now make two X-Men movies. one focusing in the past with Charles, Magneto and Mystique and their Cold War. AND a movie set in the present with the old X-Men of Wolverine, Jean, Scott etc. maybe Singer can do a proper Dark Phoenix Saga now. the future is bright for this franchise... hopefully Singer isn't guilty of all the crap he is being accused of.
they might have reversed the process. Mariko has complete control of all of Yashida's resources and scientists after all. or maybe Magneto grafted it back.

also changes to the timeline now?
I'm assuming most of X1 is still intact.
X2 idk since Mystique is now posing as Stryker... although the real Stryker isn't really dead, so he still could be the Stryker that gives Logan adamantium and tries to take over the school? the only change then would be that Jean survives the end of X2.
and then X3. I think that has been completely wiped off the face of the movie continuity.
The Wolverine could still be in continuity. the differences being that Logan wasn't living like a hermit in the mountains since he never murdered Jean. Yukio just goes to the school, Logan takes a sick leave to go to Japan with, he fights a robot samurai while gettin some Japanese booty, then go back home to teach history(rhyming accidentally).
I didn't watch X-Men Origins so I don't know what stuck there in the new timeline.
