Great Work....
I had this project too about a year ago.
I replaced the ordinary HDD with a SSD
Removed the Optical Drive and installed a HDD Caddy with a 1Tb Ordinary HDD
Now my old 13" Laptop has 2 Storage devices (128gb SSD + 1 Tb Ordinary HDD)

How about ang OS? Gi-clone nimu ang OS Image from HDD to SSD or fresh copy ang OS?
On my laptops I prefer a fresh install. I feel better knowing all that junk from the old HDD doesn't carry over to the new one. Since I only use around 8-10 important applications, it doesn't take too long to reinstall them. And most of my data are on the cloud and external HDD so that also lessens the hassle.
there's a special partition on the laptop's hdd where the OS resides.
your laptop should also come with a special backup software that allows you to burn the OEM OS to a DVD.
if you bought the laptop you should have a valid key. you can also download Win10 from MS, it's a 4GB ISO.
