It was made by the lowest bidder to maximize profit.

Sayop sa SM ni. All the way.

Pinaka safe nilang buhaton is makigsettle dayon.. obvious.

Opinion: everytime mosandig me sa glass, duolon dayon me ug gwardya pahawaon me kay delikado daw. Then after a few minutes, naay ika-duha nga guard nga mo follow up kung nihawa ba jud me. IMHO, dili jud ta makaingon nga negligent ang SM kay pila na ka tuig klaro man kaayu dat SM has been taking the appropriate precautions. Kadaghan na me gisaway sa gwardya. Unta OK ra ang bata, pero morag sala man to sa parents.

if SM had been taking the appropriate precautions, then nag-baha na unta ug gwardiya diha sa kadaghang floors nga glass ilang gigamit pang.ali.

if sala to sa parents, then kung akoy SM nganong mo-gasto pa man kog millions of pesos just to put those glass barriers nga walay gamit?

or to make it more extreme - kung akoy SM nganong mo-gasto pa man kog millions of pesos just to put those useless barriers (both glass and railings) if ang responsibility of my patrons' safety is not under my care?

    hmmmm

Hmmm...

personal responsibility? it's not absolute no matter how genius and expert you are in the subject matter

every parent's "personal" responsibility is to make sure his/her child does not meet any accident while playing inside the mall

but the mall's "personal" responsibility is to ensure the structural integrity of its facilities

the breaking of the glass barrier was not an accident. it was a structural failure.
