puhon bro kun mo gawas na ang official Mantle driver... kaning 14.1 beta, mag BSOD ang system nko... hehehe... paets kaayo... but, mawala ang BSOD kun tang2x-on nko ang 2nd GPU... maong gi balik nko sa 13.12 lang sa karon...

na excited lagi ko ani'ng Mantle... para maka squeeze pata'g more performance sa GPU... basta positive sya, bawi-on nko ang akoang gi sulti before na... "I don't need Mantle for now"... hehehe... based sa review ug sa ninyo na naa'y 1st hand experience, favorable man ang performance gain on BF4... in short, in playing BF4 "today", "Mantle API is needed" gyud... para maka squeeze-out pata'g more juice but we only spent less... egat woi... hehehehe...

Ang sa nvidia sad kay mao manang mga games nga naay (nvidia the way its meant to be played) noh nga optimized sa ilang gpu?

nice to know about sa FreeSync pud kay for free na... dili na mo gasto ug lain HW like gasto'g lain for the monitor so as to enjoy the technology...

hahaha... na igo ang ego ni Green Team diay pag demo sa AMD on their FreeSync during CES... nice gyud ni atangan ang counter move sa Green Team in battling the Volcanic Islands through their Maxwell micro architecture (800 series) and the Volta... gi ahak ning new architecture sa Green Team oi... worlds first... naa'y integrated ARM CPU ang Maxwell... a computer w/in a GPU naman ni na platform. bisan na, we all know that the GPU is more powerful than the CPU in crunching numbers... gi add-dan pa gyud ug ARM CPU... this is the nice thing about technology... "its keeps on evolving"... kita'ng mga users ang mabulahan but, ma guol ang pockets... bahala na sila lang usa... basta karon, let's enjoy the offering from AMD in squeezing out more juice from the current GCN based CPUs and APUs...

me, i'm still hitting 2 birds w/ one stone ani nila since i owned products from both GPU companies though... both multi-GPUs configuration from the Red and Green Teams are still kickin' good... hehehehe...

    peeps,

let's not worry about the future... let us enjoy what technology can offer today... charing... next month naman diay ang future kay mao ni ang timeline for the Green Team to start shipping their Maxwell based GPUs... toinks... mao ni ang akoang gi sulti sauna na, for future proofing, forget it... kay in this passion of ours, gasto gyud kaayo... hhhaaayyy

pagka wala'y gamit sa "Mantle API" on BF4... unstable kaayo... tsk tsk tsk... reverted back to DX11... dapat, i-fix nila ang bug ani'ng BF4...

buggy pa man ang support sa BF4 on Mantle... dugaya mag release ug patch aning DICE oi (sa BF4 game na gyud ni kay corrected naman sa AMD ang Mantle API for now... based ni sa akoang pag research sa net)... gggrrrr...

sa mga nag gamit ug AMD Mantle API on multiple GPU configuration in playing BF4, unsa man inyohang experience? stable ra ba sya? since pag install nko sa pag release sa 14.4 (WHQL) last apr 25, ok ra man ang performance nya... mas maayo pa gani sa DX11 then karon na day, nag kabuang man. dili nman hinoon mo dagan ang Mantle API. mag crash man sya inig open sa BF4... dili modagan ang BF4... for the workaround, i edited BF4's config file by reverting it back to DX11 API... now, the m-ATX gaming rig is running fine on BF4... i always play multi-player maps online...

another update... played BF4 last night for almost an 2 hrs...

akoa napud gi balik sa Mantle ang API... mao ni ang fps range na gi show on-screen utilizing BF4's "Performance Overlay Head-up fps Display"... and comparing it to DX11 API...

    HW:

    > cpu: i3-2120 @ 3.4 GHz... manually raised the Base clock for the 100 MHz OC
    > mem: 16 GB DDR3 1600 MHz
    > gpu: dual Onda HD 7770 GHz Edition in CrossfireX... OC'ed the core to 1,150 MHz & the mem clock to 5,175 MHz
    > psu: Super Flower 450 W 80+ Au certified... SF-450P14XE(HX)...

    Bench marked game:
    > BF4
    > multi-player @ 64 players
    > All GFX setting set up to "High" except AA Deferred, AA Post & AO as these 3 were set to "Off"
    > resolution: 1600 x 900

    Mantle API fps:
    > on-screen fps range... 80 ~ 120... with occasional dips of above 50 fps
    > the game is visually smooth... para sa akoa, no need to change the dual HD 7770 GHz Edition on the GFX setting & game resolution as stated above on "BF4"... nice kaayo sya on the actual performance... hope, ma stable ang Mantle API support sa BF4...

    DX11 API fps:
    > on-screen fps range... 45 ~ 80... with occasional dips of above 30 fps
    > the game is visually smooth pero, kun mag average ug 70 ~ 80 fps then mo drop ug kalit ug 30 fps... medyo, maka bantay ta na mo lag ug gamay but dili annoying man hinoon... mga milliseconds ra man pud... dili ma sya dragging. don't know if its lag or micro-stutter... labi na, grabeh ang buto2x... like naa'y large explosions (the likes of building na matumba) but kun infantry lang ang map even on 64 players on-line, smooth as silk ra sya... dips will be above 35 fps as shown on the on-screen display...

ok ra gyud unta kaayo ang Mantle API pero, after playing for more than an hr, ning balik na pud ang pag ka unstable nya. naka observe ko'g occurrence og micro-stutter... or should i call it, "stutter" kay visible kaayo... work around was to revert back to DX11 API then duwa'g gamay then after nahuman ang game sa map, balik napud ang Mantle API then re start the game... ma ok napud sya... hahay... nice unta kun stable ang Mantle API on BF4... again, DICE, where's your work around? frustrating kaayo ning in ani... dako ra ba gyud kaayo unta ang actual fps difference with respect sa DX11 API...

for this coming week end, if my time permits, akoa unya ning i-try ang i5-2550K sa dual HD 7770 GHz Edition on BF4... for sure, dako2x ni sila'g performance difference compare sa i3-2120 as the i5 can process more work loads than the i3 since, it has 4 physical cores...

oh, my previous statement is "wrong"...i'll correct it... "the i3-2120 can unleash the full power of the dual HD 7770 GHz Edition.. on multi-player online"... all 4 cores of the i3 (physical and hyper-thread) had processed the BF4 work loads and each core's loads does not reached "80% load" during actual gaming on 64 players online... mas hinay lang gyud ang IPC nya compared sa i5 kay "Pseudo 4 cores ra man sya"...

now, based on my experience on AMD's Mantle API, i went back to the drawing board ang re-planned on the GPU upgrade on my m-ATX rig... had amended my "A Must List"... i'll disclosed it to you as shown below (in random order)...

    > the GPU upgrade must be on a dual GPU configuration
    > the cost must be minimal... each GPU must cost within 1K to 1.5K rmb (7.3 to 10,950 php equivalent)
    > the GPU upgrade can support GFX setting that's higher than the current dual Onda HD 7770 GHz Edition
    > the GPU upgrade must not need a PSU upgrade
    > the GPU upgrade must support 1080p resolution on a very playable experience
    > the GPU upgrade must fit the current m-ATX chassis (Sahara mini-hackers M2)

and here's the result of the decision analysis... i found this and it's priced at 800 rmb for a bnew unit... 5,840 equivalent... it's Club3D's HD 7870 2GB VRAM royalKing GHz Edition... if its a set or pair during the purchase, it's called royalKnights... hhhmmm... indeed... this would be a very very very good catch... all of the items reflected on my Check List above were all satisfied. bang for the money ang AMD GPUs on BF4 kay barato ra then maka puga pa gyud ta's performance nya on games that supports AMD's Mantle API... basta lang, stable ang game itself...
