opinion lang ni nako ha... i never owned a car pa but currently doing research mode sad kay basin next year maka afford nako mo kuha, hehehe... puhon2x...

anyway, inclined pud ko sa G4 kay naka dungog pud ko nga medyo kalas kuno ang bagong Vios karon compared sa older... tanaw nako tungod siguro ni dako or ni bug-at ang kaha unya same engine ra gamit... ambot lang pud kung tinuod ba gyud kaha... only a new Vios owner can confirm this...

    Mo comment ko ani....

I just got my toyota vios 1.3j and less than 1 month pa akong car.

Here were my options before and feedback from people.

Kia Rio - lesser dp but parts are expensive and engine is not as great compared to toyota. My bro inlaw is a technical supervisor of kia and he also gave me an overview of the car which has higher specs compared to toyota vios. Still i wasnt convinced with interior versus quality.

Kia picanto - same thing as rio.

Suzuki swift - too small and more expensive.

Hyundai getz - mahal ang parts and not a good quality car. No passenger airbag.

Toyota vios - sulit sa budget. The 1.3j variant is a starter kit which means it doesnt have much accessories. The stereo can be changed to a touchscreen which I was told that other variants are not doable kay built in ang stereo sa car. Compared to the 1.3j nga pwede ra mailisan.

It doesnt have a remote on the keyz but you can upgrade it for 5k.

So if you want to upgrade. You can just have other accessories installed separately. I was shopping around, touch screen stereo is at 15k to 30k ra man sad.

In terms of gas, di pa ko ka gauge gyud. But from a short observation, gas consumption is somewhat ok.

And the most IMPORTANT and CRITICAL check list for me was the airbag. Both passenger and driver seats has airbags.

Now about people saying that its too "ordinary" since its used as a taxi. Well, as a car owner I dont really care if its used as such. What is important is the reliability of its parts and cheaper cost to maintain it. At the end of the day, cars are utilities to get us from point A to point B. Not a collectible piece that we shove into display room for us to simply gawk and stare at.
