All of Fred Galan's watercolors --- Mr. Galan is the father of Katski here --- and every one of his oils.

I've seen some Vincent Van Gogh originals at MOMA in New York City. Frankly, I would still prefer the idylls of Fred Galan. I have 4 monster pieces by him.

wwaaaaahhh!kita na ka ug van gogh na personal huhuhu. pwede kuyog ko nimu next time?? hehehe. museum of modern art nu? did you go after the renovation na? nindot? samok kaayo ko nu? which of his works are displayed there? sorry, im a bit obsessed with van gogh. his painting really strika a chord with me. it's so vibrant and colorful yet dark and confused. ambot, relate lang siguru ko (pero di ko buang ha! hehehe). my dream is to see the potato eaters, crows over the wheatfield, cafe de nuit....everything!!

One of my favorite painter is Michaelangelo Merisi or more popularly known as Caravaggio.

Here are some of his works.



St Francis meditating

Carravaggio generally lit his subjects from a single source high above and intensified realism by implying touch in the textures he depicted. St Francis of Assissi is shown in a torn robe to indicate his vow of poverty, alone in the darkness of a cave. He contemplates death in the form of a skull. The single figure and use of only a few colours intensifies the feeling of profound meditation.
