the reason for filing a lawsuit is to take action against the negligence of SM not properly maintaining it's facilities.

like i said on my post on page 10, speaking as a reliability & maintenance admin, super strict jud kaayo mi & heavy ang sanctions to ensure proper maintenance in all facilities diri sa manufacturing & processing area where it's mainly employees ra ang nag utilize sa area.

all the more masbugat ang responsibility sa SM to ensure ila facitilities are well maintained because it's the public who will utilize the place.

and like i said, you will feel strongly about it if parent naka. just imagine, what if imo anak ang na-inato diba you will feel the same way as i do & sue SM.

but then, if you don't have a child of your own then logically, you will have the same paradigm as emow.

i haven't read the statement of the parents but if dili sila mo-file ug lawsuit, either nahadlok sila, wala sila budget or nasilawan na sila sa amicable settlement sa SM on this issue.

say what?! dios ko miyo! it's clear as day you're not a parent. if naa naka anak, niya naa mahitabo niya, only God can stop you from doing anything for your child.

these kinds of comments are hollow & mostly based on what you think is correct. but for us nga parents na, with hard earned experience & knowledge, kataw-anan kaayo ni.

mark my words, when you become parents yourself & you will know exactly how it feels to be in our shoes right now then ma-realize pud ninyo nga dili sayon, when you remember this topic at that point in your life, maka-ingon jud mo, winay buot jud to ako gisulti sa kani nga thread.

main point lang ani, don't make any negative statement on the parents of this child if wala mo inyo kaugalingon anak coz wala mo kabalo how it feels being a parent.

Your main point is not really about the situation but about the negative comments on parents...ahhhh. look, you don't monopolize the term parent, and whatever negative comments given to those parents, it doesnt mean the same can be said to all parents. Your logical requirement of needing to have a child first before throwing their respective opinions is like requiring an oncologic doctor to have cancer himself before giving out his opinion on a cancer patient.... look, i didnt even throw negative comments on parents, and why are you personalizing the issue when you are not the parent? You might be a more responsible parent, giving foresight advice to a child to avoid such advice. I know how hard it is to be a parent, because i am one. But just because it is hard doesnt mean we get off the hook for the small in between lapses during the times when our guard is down and something happens as a result of our failed supervision. Blaming third parties for what ultimately is considered our responsibility doesnt teach responsibility on the children we are raising.

then as a parent, makasabot ka sa ako sentiment why ingani ako reaction. my iritation is directed mainly to those who are not parents themselves then making statements nga maka igo to those who are already parents.

on the matter of logical requirement, professional knowledge is an entirely different universe if you compare that to parenthood.

from my standpoint, lahi ra ang paradigm when it comes to dealing things with your career & family. i have also acknowledged on my post on page 10 that there might very well be some critical lapses on the parents of this child.

but if this happened to me, simbako lang jud palayo-ay lang, i will have dealt with this differently.

I believe the management already take action and they will surely do preventive measures to not let this accident happen again in the future. If you look it closely, the purpose of the glass railings is for the safety of the walking goers by straying them from falling to dangerous or off-limits areas. Yet, it would never support enough force from a kid running and slammed his head unto the glass when in the first place it was not designed to that compared to guard rails for moving vehicles as protection for falling from a cliff.

It would be better to keep away from blaming and keep the discussion benign as possible. IMO, parents of the child will not even choose to get named after this incident and the status of their child will be their main concern at the moment. Same goes when this will happened to you.

with what @cliff_drew said, the malls are not responsible for the behavior of our kids and the consequences they will reap for any unwanted behavior. This is the same scenario as having a kid run around in an area full of glass.

As a parent, I tolerate my kid to be 'active' on the right circumstances but hey, kids are kids and we cannot be there for them 100% of the time. Accidents do happen. But what we can do is educate them on what's right and not.

If the parents of the kid did educate their kid properly, then no one is to be blame.
Again, this is an accident and kids are a magnet to accidents all of the time.

nag guul ko nga dli mu file ug legal actions ang parents sa bata dli sa pag kuan pru kung gkan pa guru na sa mga lig un ug dagkung "tae" nga pamilya nahitabu perti na gurung gubuta kaluuy sa bata ui,nagsakit man akung dughan, 6 yrs old,laki, sad bya akung eldest.
