Nakatawa ko s title, mka huna2 pd ta ba, btaw sa? Funny that these satirical articles ( 'National Heartthrob', adobo chronicles, etc ) are considered satirical because they make fun of people who don't get satire.

Filipinos being satire, it is simple, Filipinos love hot foods, so what ever the chef is cooking, when Filipinos love the smell, they will eat it, without second thought. Then they share it with friends and so on, until one person will ask what kind of dish is it. When they discovered that they were tricked how the chef cooked the same food they are eating everyday but in different way. Some will act as if they have had guess the food already, some will react as if they were harassed or some sort, and some will have no reaction instead they see it as a new way of cooking and it satisfied their taste buds.

Filipinos are more reactive than being skeptical - they tend to jump into their own conclusion even they don't have a full grasp of the story or whatsoever. As long as they read something from a book or from the net, for them, it is already enough tool for making a conclusion. Most of us likes telling stories specially adding or deducting a line from the original story, ruining one's reputation, gossiping, rather than looking on it in different angle. Even in a well educated group, they tend to do this but less frightening in the less educated group, but not all of this can be define in a one group, some differs from their perception of things, their disposition in life.

Naa koy gibadlong nga friend sa FB kay nagpost atong satirical news about visa-free na ang US for Pinoys, hala ka nasuko man nuon... ngano daw nanghilabot ko. hahahaha!

Golden rule when reading off from the Internet: "if something is too good to be true it probably is".
