Linux or Microsoft cert? Which one is better?

Any ideas which one is a lot better to take up? I need some advice on this one. I'm choosing between the two. And if possible, where are the schools that offer such courses.

It depends on which field you're going to work on.

If you're planning to manage Microsoft server environment, go for Microsoft Cert.

If your planning to focus on Linux, go with Linux Cert.

basing from historical data, mas preferrable ang Microsoft Certification especially here in pinas kay monopolized sa Microsoft ang network enviroment dire, most of them are using Win2K or Win2003...but if plan to go abroad, might as well consider taking Linux Cert para mas moincrease imo market value

There's actually a lot of linux certification around.

There are some vendor neutral certification like: SAIR linux, Linux Profesional Institute (LPI), Comptia Linux+.

And vendor specific like: Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT) or Engineer (RHCE).

I know somebody who's a SAIR linux Certified. And I think there's a Training Center in Manila for RHCT/RHCE.

hahaha... my friend who's a SAIR linux certified is also a microsoft certified...

If you know both worlds, get certified on both.
