Have you tried @tsunade's advice?
Although his advice of 192.168.1.100-254 is i think to be avoided.
Very common ra kaayo ng 192.168.1.x then using 100-254 dhcp server range.
Try using .10 instead of .1 (ex. 192.168.10.x)

But your main concern is on Traffic & Bandwidth Control di ba?

Here's my take.
Most embedded systems can have their firmware changed, reflashed turning your P1,200 router to a P12,000 one.
Trabaho lang gyud kaayo with the risk of bricking your router. Nothing is easy.
If you are into Linux, you can even make your own package.
If you intend to reflash your router, spend a lot of time before doing so. Daghan kaayo firmware nga basig masayop ka ma-brick na noon imo router, sayang.

Thereafter if successful ka sa reflash you can have Network Traffic Control, Traffic Shaping, QOS, Hosts List, etc.

Or pangita og router nga naay QOS, Bandwidth Control, etc. nga mga features using their proprietary software.

although right now i only use plan B. which is url blocking... blocking youtube and other movie sites... helps save my daily data cap!

Dugay nani nga thread pero basig naay uban nga nag need jud nga wala pa kahibaw unsaon, mao ni akong settings sa akong qos hg521 globe tattoo. nigana ni siya for me and might work for you.

How this works? Rule1>Rule2>Rule3>Rule4>Rule5> ...
1mbps data -> Rule1(nigamit og 300kbps) -> Rule2((1mbps-300kbps)-pila iyang gamit) -> Rule3Rule4Rule5(Sobra nga kbps) -> ...




So, i'll explain the things above.

SET1***

Rule Name: Pangalan sa imong rule (i use 1 as my rule name, pero kung gusto ka nga makahibaw ka nga unsa nga rule for future reference, use your name).

Source Mac: Source mac akong gigamit instead of Source IP address (para mas specified ang unit). You have to list the Mac addresses of all the devices that connects into your router for future reference.

SourcePort, Dest Port, SourcePortMAX, Dest PortMax: e copy lang na ang 65535

LanInterface: ssid1 kung ssid1 imong gigamit nga ssid1 broadcast. naa may uban tao nga mogamit og ssid2. sa hg521 5 kabuok ssid ang pwede ibroadcast. check your wireless status tab for reference.

WanInterface: Check your wan status connection name. in my case, it is nas_0_35 so i used it.

DSCP: 0-63, use 63. if 0-100, use 100. use the maximum number provided.

Protocol: use TCP/UDP. other options available but kana akong gigamit.

Leave the rest blank. naa ra nimo if mag experiment ka

OPERATION***

Policer: mao niy basehan kung kinsa nga device ang dapat e prioritize. SO IF GANAHAN KA NGA IMOHA ANG DAPAT E PRIORITIZE, THEN USE 1.

Queue: mao niy basehan kung kinsay unahon og hatag sa data. SO IF DI KA GANAHAN NGA KAN.ON SA YOUTUBE SA IMONG IGSUON ANG IMONG CONNECTION, SET IT TO 1.

NOTE******

``NUMBER 1 rule must be the rule for your device.
``For other devices create new rule use their MAC address and use policer2 and queue2 for 2nd important user. policer3 and queue3 for all lesser important user.
``Don't forget to check enable classifications.
``Don't forget to check enable QoS.
