definitely if you go to metropolitan Tokyo or Osaka, it is expensive, but kompleto jud siya if you want those kinds of vacations. Personally, Fukuoka ranks highly for me in any city in the Asia. But, you can't lose with any place/city in Japan, in my experience AFAIK, but never been to Kyoto even though I hear it is the mecca of Japanese history/tradition. In my experience, people are nice (contrary to people saying the Japanese are very ethnocentric to a point that they are hostile with other Asians.). In fact I can argue that they can show that "baka gaijin" mentality sa mga obnoxious nga foreigners from the west. As long as you respect their norms they are good to you. It also helps when you know people who live there to show you around, of course.
