try googling the specifics of your problem and you'll eventually get past it without having to reformat..usually things like these involve editing the registry, cleaning in safe boot, etc.

i have experienced this one. Norton cant delete or kill trojans but kaspersky can. the problem with norton is when you uninstall it, it has traces of the antivirus. so when you install kaspersky, it says cannot install because of another anti virus though you already have installed it.

so you try to delete the folder, but cannot. try using killbox.exe, download it from the net. trojans sometimes becomes recycled.info but cannot be deleted. killbox can delete this files.
