Today, I was able to receive 2 updates. First is a minor update in preparation for the Windows Phone 8.1 update. And then got the second one for the DEV(windows phone 8.1) update.
For those who can't w8 for the update. You can sign yourself as developers and get your own update. Goodluck

I have here step on how to become a developer.
How to get Windows Phone 8.1 Preview?
1. Open App Studio: http://appstudio.windowsphone.com
2. Sign in with the same Microsoft account you used on your Windows Phone.
3. Install Preview for Developers app on your phone: http://www.windowsphone.com/s?appid=178ac8a1-6519-4a0b-960c-038393741e96
4. Sign in with the same Microsoft account used above for step 2.
5. Tick the Enable Preview for Developers box and tap on Done.
Check the OS version in Settings > About, it must be 8.0.10521.155 before installing the WP 8.1 Preview. If your OS version is less than 10521 you will first get this update after enabling Preview for Developers.
You can get Cortana by changing the Region to United States in Settings > Language+Region. You can do this before or after the update, it doesn't matter as Cortana will get installed on the phone as part of the WP 8.1 Preview update.

The download size will be around 500 MB and you must have at least 1 GB free space on Phone Memory.
Windows Phone 8.1 Preview will be released on April 14, but the time is not known.

Ok ra bro,I am using nokia lumia 720, naa na add 3rd tile. Faster UI response. Feature added also shortcut sa homescreen like sa android, swipe down to enable wifi,bluetooth and etc. Apps/games can now be saved to sd card. I wasn't able to use my dear cortana because it's only for US as of now, but there's a trick that will work for that. Will give you update as soon as I have it.

Note: Updating through developer will void the warranty of your phone. So take your own risk if you can't w8 for the official update.

can I just go to nokia center and have my update there? I didn't recieve any updates yet , I'm not that good in windows phone, my friend told me that all I have to do is to get my lumia in any nokia center branch and have my update there, but I don't believe him is there anyone could tell me that's true? xD

You can do an update of your own as long as you have good connection. By the way, may I know what OS do you have in your phone? you can see it in settings>extras+info. Originally Posted by Makky

The problem is I don't have a good connection, that's why I'm asking if I could just go to nokia center, anyway it says Lumia black in my extras+info

You have nothing to worry, you're already updated. Since you have no better connection. It would be better if you just w8 for the official realease of the wp8.1 update. By the way, you weren't able to receive an update because you are not a registered developer. This update is only intended for registered developers as of now. Originally Posted by Makky

Everybody is excited not just you. There is no official release date for wp8.1 update yet. Maybe later this year or it could be next year or there could be none. There is always a risk of you want to become a developer. Developers update could still experience bugs. The risk of losing warranty of our phone. We can't also go back to previous OS if microsoft decided not to pursue this wp8.1 update. So if you can't w8, you can take the risk hehe. By the way what is your phone unit? installed WP 8.1 gahapon sa office and it is really great
the extra tile column is a plus. at first nabagohan ko kay mura nilapad akong lumia 720 tungod sa extra tile. everything works fine so far. the new keyboard is great! nag-ila2x na sad mi ni Cortana she's really impressive pero if mangutana ka ug location sa lugar like jollibee or 711 kay mostly sa US ang results.

ang di kaayo nako ganahan kay ang notification center. although it is a welcome addition pero mura cya'g cheap touchwiz sa android phone. or maybe wa pa lang ko maanad.
