I've made the switch last year I think, I have both the MBpro and the new 27" iMac. I like the aesthetics and how efficient and fluid the whole OS feels and the hardware itself feels "premium" in general, but I really miss windows.

I just made the switch from mac to windows..again. Hehehe..i'm sure i'm going to miss OS X but i'll be enjoying my gaming rig pretty soon.

I have MBP but with 12.04 Ubuntu.
Really hardcore performance. Cooking with the codes with a sublime ingredients.

Definitely they are worlds apart. The rMBP is a beauty in its own right. The Asus on the otherhand is pretty decent for a laptop. It really depends on what you need. Originally Posted by inc-pankz

Agree... what machine to buy depends on what needs to satisfy. Im my case, I could say rMBP was worth the $$$$ I expended.
